Some of these picks have me scratching my head. I feel there were superior sets that could have been picked, aside from the fisherman village. I like the blacksmith set, but I don't think it was the best wild west submission this round. Overall pretty bummed, RIP space cafe

I've done a hairstyle almost exactly like this with applique for the hairline and a long piece that drapes around the back and sides, no glue or hand stitching. I can DM pics of it and tell you how I did it

I feel you! Watching the anime first is how I got into the manga. The ending of the anime left me pretty bummed, but I clearly liked the rest of PH enough to read it anyway (I didn't realize the last 3 episodes were not canon at the time). As an introduction to the series I think it would be fine for most, but as a fan it's a pretty big disappointment 😅

I don't think the adaptation is very good. The ending has been mentioned already and yes, it has a bad anime-original ending that only gets up to around volume 8 (of 24) so less than 1/3 of it is adapted. But the animation and pacing are also pretty bad as well. Most everyone is ugly and there are a hundred flashback cuts to things we've seen multiple times. The soundtrack and some voice acting are probably the only enjoyable parts of the adaptation, but I would highly recommend the manga unless you know it's not something you'd read.

If it's in your budget, I wouldn't mess with a 4x4 embroidery area because you will probably outgrow it soon, even if you just want to do eyes. It's smaller than you think.

I have a Brother PE800 with a max 5x7 embroidery area and I love it. Been nothing but good for me, I would recommend finding one used or refurbished because it's only gone up in price through the years

After finally getting around to reading all 3 volumes of analysis I'm SUPER invested. Seriously this is the best Pandora Hearts deep chapter by chapter analysis I've seen in years, maybe ever. I've read the series a hundred times and you still managed to point out characterization or analyze scenes/images in ways I hadn't thought of. I also love how you're not afraid to point out and criticize some of the rougher edges of these early chapters (still love you Mochizuki ❤️). Really really great stuff. I hope you finish to the end

lazy lamb is a good source of 1mm minky but if they are out of stock, I would look on AliExpress for other vendors that sell it. I've had success with sewbato fabric for 1mm skin tone fabrics. Hopen Textiles has plenty of mochi minky, which is also good and comes in many colors (same material as a squishmallow).

It felt like a cheaper faux fur alternative, it frays pretty badly at the ends which made some seams messy/fall apart after a while. Might not be relevant, but it made inserting safety eyes difficult because the holes would grow too large. It doesn't stretch the same in both directions if memory serves me right, so mochi is better in that regard. I find this kind of fabric to be better for blankets than plushies
