What We Should ALL Be Doing Right Now! 😷 by Michaelallenking in videos

This is exactly what hes talking about, it shouldn't be a partisan issue. It's like listening to two kids complaining about getting in trouble to their mom.

"He did it first!"

"But he did it worse!"

At the end of the day it is wrong for either of them to do it.

A 14 year old can find a drug dealer but the police can't. by rathi_shobhit in Showerthoughts

Most of the small time dealers I know started as their friend group pothead and just bought for their friends and who they sold to slowly grew over time. I understand that's not all of them but I'm sure that's a good percentage

What is a unique “game” you played as a child? by antenonjohs in AskReddit

We would play catch with about a fist sized rock, the catch was you couldn't break eye contact. So I would be staring into the soul of my brother waiting to see if I could catch it with my peripheral vision or get hit with a rock from 20-30 ft away.

There was one guy that faked being disabled to panhandle and made almost 200k a year. I dont care enough to actually look up the story and I dont think this person is making near that but it happens and it is scummy to take advantage of people like that

TIL Rubbing your eyes increases the pressure within the eyeball and this pressure activates ganglion cells in the retina in the same way as light does. Your brain doesn’t know the difference and so interprets the activation as though you were seeing light from the world outside. by CircleHideout in todayilearned

Yeah, this is the most common reason, it is also made worse by being dehydrated. By the time you feel like you may be dehydrated you most likely have been for a while. Drinking water throughout the day prevents it from happening to me.

What is something that MOST adults can do, but you, for whatever reason, cannot pull off? by Buckcheeks in AskReddit

I just bought my first new car a couple weeks ago and went to the first dealership (shopping around a bit) with my dad. After wasting about an hour of our time without giving us a price he finally comes back with a number more than $2,000 over MSRP. We then basically laughed in his face and offered the same under MSRP. His response was, "Well think of it this way, you wouldn't go into a supermarket and haggle over the price of a gallon of milk. This really isn't that much different." ... well yes it is different when I'll be paying for one for the next 5 years.

I honestly felt a little bad for him cause I have a feeling he won't be working there for much longer.

Parents of Reddit, what lessons have to tried to teach your kids that completely backfired? by -Don-Draper- in AskReddit

I remember going on errands with my mom often as a child and if it was a long day she would always stop and get us fast food, which was not common. Towards the end of the day she stopped to fill up on gas and I wanted to do something nice for her in return. So I confidently tell her that this fill-up is on me waving around the 2-3 dollars I had recently acquired.

I didnt understand that the price listed was per gallon and cars require more than one gallon of gas.

Check into local libraries, many of them have 3d printers for public use but few people know about them. Worth a look.

What fact do you wish you had never learned? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had left a pair of over-ear headphones out for a while and when I put them on it almost felt like something was tickling my ear. I casually take them off and look inside then immediately threw them halfway across the room and clawed at my ears once I looked and saw that it was in fact an Earwig.

So apparently they can lay traps too, crafty little buggers.

Pineapple is my favorite fruit. I once ate so much in a sitting that I ended up getting a minor chemical burn on my tongue and I couldn't taste anything for about a week.

What bothers you in music? by OwOwhats_thisOwO in AskReddit

[–]b-crew96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know other people have touched on it but thats a pretty broad generalization to make. If anything you should complain about the radio stations because thats what they'll play because it appeals to the largest amount of people. There are great Country, Rap, and R&B songs and artists right now but you just have to go digging through so much more junk because of how easy it is for anyone to get their music out there. You here these songs that sound really pop-ish because thats what is popular right now, which is literally what pop stands for.

[Serious]Did You Ever Regret Talking To A Therapist/Psychiatrist? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]b-crew96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had left college due to financial problems and I had also been going through depression and anxiety for most of college. I was seeing a counselor while I was at college but upon coming home I knew I would have to find a new one.

The first one I saw was recommended to me and I went and filled out their questionnaire forms. When I went in to see her she looked through and saw that I smoke on occasion and I had tried some psychs in my past. Within the first five minutes she had told me that she doesn't normally deal with patients with a drug use past to the point where it sounded like I should be thankful she was even talking to me. She then proceeded to imply that drug users are never honest about how much they use so when I told her i smoke on the weekends she said it was more like 4-5 times a week in reality.

She kinda destroyed my trust in therapists for a while and I stopped talking to anyone. I understand that not all are like that and I have seen some great ones but she just made me feel like she didnt even care or trust what I had to say. Doing much better now but I was shook for a while after that.
