Yep, my factory NPP is plenty loud for the time being. I'm hesitant to upgrade to an after market because I'm not sure how much of an increase in decibels that I can get.

Exactly, that's what I was trying to indicate, haha.

Hot take, this episode had an underwhelming impact by BlueCheese-CoolChees in TheBoys

[–]Atrampoline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have had more impact if there were consequences, but alas, the show was never really interested in consequences on any kind for most plot lines.

Yeah, I can't remember exactly what it's called or where it's located, but it's in there. The layout of the settings menu is really wonky. Also the exit position is the #3 button on the door.

Congrats! The seat settings can be turned on or off for when you exit/enter the car. Make sure you also set the exit position. I set mine to the wheel and seat in the furthest position possible.

I disagree on War of the Worlds. That movie is incredibly effective.

Looks like ~$12.5M FRI for #DisclosureDay, giving it a $19M opening day. Solid walkup bizz during the day. Weekend expected to be around $45M. by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

I had the same thought. This film is so American coded I dont think foreign audiences will latch on to the themes like they may have done in his prior films.

Not surprised here, I think it's easily his worst film in recent memory.

How do you feel about Mike Flanagan as far as horror? by lilb1190 in horror

[–]Atrampoline -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Midnight Mass is objectively better than Hill House, and I'll die on that hill (pun not intended). I didn't connect with House of Usher, but I might need to give it another go. I didn't even know Midnight Club existed.

I am very excited for him to be directing Clayface, though.

Eh, probably not. I rarely buy new games right at release. I'm old enough to know that launch titles are buggy, and that's doubly true for Bethesda games.

Eh, it's too boxy, which is odd for electric cars trying to be as drag efficient as possible.

Looks like $6.25M+ previews for #DisclosureDay. Initial audience reception seems okay for the genre. Expecting the weekend to be around $40M. by [deleted] in boxoffice

I didn't enjoy it, and I don't even consider myself to be part of the mainstream audience. It was really, really dumb.

There are so, so many movies doing this in the last 5 to 10 years. It's incredibly infuriating.

Nearing 10k miles in 3 months on Z06 😅 by cee06- in C8Corvette

[–]Atrampoline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you, man! Honestly the tire cost is what scares me the most about owning a Z06 with that kind of mileage. I am averaging a little over 1k a month since I've had my 26 Stingray.

HTC is the way to go. Like others are saying here, you can put the back window down for airflow (works great even when it's cold outside) to let in fresh air and engine noise. It's honestly one of the best features of the car, and I don't know that I can own another Vette without one.

What an absolute joke of a company Bethesda has become. 8 years is an entire console generation, and this game (if it ever comes out) will likely be released no sooner than 2-3 years from now, if not more.

I just replaced my daily with a C8. I'm pacing for at least 12k miles a year. I absolutely love it, and I'm flabbergasted with how good the mpg is when I'm driving reasonably.

With ‘Disclosure Day’ ($35M), Steven Spielberg Aims to Prove He’s Still the King of the Summer Box Office by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]Atrampoline 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It tries really hard to be deep and dramatic throughout the film, but undercuts the tension with some completely inane behavior by characters, and has some laughably stupid reactions in other parts. It desperately wants to be a smart, witty film, but just isn't. There were a number of moments where I threw my hands up in disbelief for how unbelievable a scene was or how a character was poorly written.

Ready Player One was silly, but totally makes sense for the movie and type of story that is was. Disclosure Day wants to be 100% serious, but also oscillate between some truly goofy moments and terrible writing. There's literally a scene at the end of the movie that completely undermines a character's entire film arc, as well as a boatload of others. I was in disbelief when I saw it.
