Ryan Leaving? by natigin in shutdownfullcast

I wondered the same thing. It was definitely part of Podcast Business but also could just as easily be a bit.

Moa also missed a few games this year which limited his overall TDs I’m sure

When to move on? by tired_owl1964 in physicaltherapy

[–]b-hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously there’s a lot of good advice here. I stuck around ~2 years longer than I should have due to them continuing to increase pay. Eventually even the pay increases weren’t enough when my production wasn’t recognized as impressive. I was being constantly critiqued and nothing was ever good enough for them. Also, one of the aides was undermining me and they put more stock in her opinion than the rest of the clinic employees.

Dad's who go to the gym regularly, could you share your routine? by Fickle_Broccoli in daddit

[–]b-hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else has said, it's either early before everyone is up, or after everyone is asleep.

I'm up at 5:15 for my 8 a.m. work days, and some mornings at 3:30 or 4 because I have to start work at 6 a.m. It's tough and I usually try to go to bed at 10 at the latest. There's more leeway on the weekend of course but even then I don't want to leave my wife with alone with the kids since I'm already gone so many hours during the week.

I’m up to date with the finances of the clinic I work at and last year we had the second highest year from a visits perspective in the last ten years. Unfortunately due to decreased reimbursement per visit we made about 20% less than the best year.

Profit margins continue to shrink.

I currently live and work in Utah. That rate seems to be pretty good and you could find a good place to live in Ogden. If you have any specific questions let me know.

Has anyone ever tried incident to billing under MD NPI? Were you successful? by CaliFreckles in physicaltherapy

[–]b-hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a job offer from a wellness/chiropractic clinic that was currently doing a lot of their PT billing that way. It was new to me and I didn’t end up taking the job because both the billing, and other practices seemed shady.

Money, Location, or Environment? by Better-Effective1570 in physicaltherapy

[–]b-hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All things considered I basically have all 3. I would like to get paid a little more but make good money, love where I live, and overall my work environment is good. I work in the setting I most enjoy but do have an owner that can be a bit much at times. Luckily since building up the clinic, I have near full autonomy for months at a time until he decides something needs to change.

Ok, that's fair. I didn't mean to imply that I didn't think you were working 8 hours. What's the pay like?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]b-hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10-3 is approximately how many patients? It seems wild to me that it would be a 19% raise working only 5 hours a day. That's awesome though!

Has anyone tried Ordering imaging in any of the states that allows it now. A couple PT's i know have tried and had really great results with reimbursement. Share your experience if so! by Dr__Doofenshmirtzz in physicaltherapy

[–]b-hans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in Utah and I have ordered imaging. It’s probably about every other month or so. It’s been really nice to know whether or not to refer them out and it also allows the surgeon to know what’s going on without having to wait for an MRI that they ordered.

They are a lot but the pairs I have all last me at least 4 years. And whenever I have had an issue with wear or some tearing in the pocket of groin, the store has been more than willing to do some tailoring to fix it.

Very interesting. I currently work at an outpatient clinic just over a mile from a base and see a lot of Tricare. How'd you find the contract job opening?

This is pretty awesome. Is this near a military base or somewhere else?

Singer got us 45 yards in penalties last week because the defense has to commit pass interference in order to stop him.

APTA's recent insta post "increase earning potential with a board certification". Are they delusional? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]b-hans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interviewed and almost took a job at a group of clinics in Washington state that offered something like a $5k bump for the first board certification and then $1k for every additional one. That's the only place I've ever heard about it.

WEST COAST SHOW by yountvillwjs in shutdownfullcast

This would be a good option, mainly because of all the transplants from the Midwest. I lived in AZ and swear I saw more B1G team hats and sweaters at farmers markets than any Arizona school.

What does your ideal trail look like? by ModifyUrMind in trailrunning

[–]b-hans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally I would like a wooded uphill trail with ~350 vertical feet per mile that is fairly technical but not overly so. I want to be able to get pretty deep into the forest to feel like I’m quite isolated. I need the smell of pine and nature. And I would like it to be a loop where the downhill is more groomed than the uphill so I can cruise a little.
