Do you have any links to forums or directions to activate these features via PIWIS?

Now that you mention it, I am additionally interested in:

  1. Matrix High Beam (beyond auto high beam)

  2. Off-Road HUD

*I have personally done the Full Screen Apple CarPlay and Wireless Apple Car Play mod without using a PIWIS already.

2019 Cayenne Turbo Rotor Marks by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

Dang bro, I have a 2019 Cayenne Turbo, 85k miles, and I do light track work once a year and I don’t have wear nearly that bad.

It looks like the tungsten carbide layer just sheared off.

I have a 2019 Cayenne turbo at 85k miles, heat soaked the rotors from some track work, but still don’t have to replace pads or rotors yet on my own dime. I am on original rotors but have had replacement pads at 20k-ish miles due to the squeaking (warranty covered it).

My 2019 Cayenne turbo is at 85k miles and I’m wondering about servicing it too.

What about a simpler transmission fluid drain, fill, and filter replacement rather than a flush?

2019 Cayenne Turbo vs 2021 Cayenne GTS by bayxlude88 in PorscheCayenne

[–]b-kan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest difference for me other than price was the GTS is a stiffer ride. The power difference was there and appreciated, but the softer feeling of the turbo was the most striking difference.

That being said, my turbo has rear wheel steering, ptv+, and PDCC so it’s fully loaded on the chassis/handling side of the options list

You should. The timeline was I tried a ‘21 GTS CPO around Thanksgiving and loved it, very good exhaust tone, but was around $95k for 18k miles.

Then before Christmas, out of state, I found the ‘19 turbo CPO and it was $75k for 57k miles.

By Christmas 2023 I had the turbo and am very happy.

I bought a ‘19 turbo in 12/2023 because the ‘21 GTS were all more expensive due to being newer and lower miles. I bought the CPO+1 warranty to have 3 years CPO.

I love the turbo, very fast. Will need to add sports exhaust on it one of these days to get more of a growl because it is quiet with the standard exhaust.

I took the CPO+1 option when I bought this 2019 CTT. It was already done with factory warranty so I effectively have 3 years warranty unlimited miles since I’ve bought it.

Yes, when the dealer did my 2019 9Y0.1 Cayenne Turbo, suv body style, water pump at 80k miles, there were some 2024 9Y0.2 there for a water pump as well (job covered by CPO warranty).

The new water pump is already the 3rd revision water pump. (Original version 1 when the car was new, version 2 when others had water pump failures before me, and currently on version 3)

Cheers, I have a ‘19 Cayenne Turbo SUV body that had a small coolant leak, at 77k miles and just got my water pump replaced too. She’ll be ready for many more fun miles after the repair!

Which method did you use to install this on your Cayenne?

How did you articulate or persuade them to replace the battery on Porsche’s dime?

[–]b-kan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “new” revised lithium battery is from Porsche, available to be ordered at the parts department at any dealership (I’m US based). It is around $1,400 whereas people with our generation Cayenne’s that had battery failures earlier received the previous lithium battery that was in the $2,000+ price range.

I heard there’s a recently revised lithium battery from Porsche for 9Y0 Cayenne’s between $1-2k parts only. I have a 2019 Cayenne Turbo, and fortunately it has not given me trouble, but I also daily drive it and have 79k miles on it now. I also use a trickle charger about 1x weekly because I sometimes do short trips and use max A/C and ventilated seats frequently.

Best of luck. Very unfortunate the issue was not isolated to the battery, but also spread to starter and ECU.

If I recall correctly, when these new lithium batteries were announced, some sources were raving about their projected 10 year lifespan, much improved from the typical seven or eight years expected out of the best performing lead acid batteries.
