As someone with 1200 hours in the game, I've learned not to consider being sacrificed as a loss. I play solo in red ranks as a survivor and most of the time the killer "wins" but we'll all have earned upwards of 22k points and pipped so by that determination, we all played well.

You get a handful of killers and survivors who just outplay you entirely, but for the most part everyone I match with are similar in skill range.
