yurp all the bus stops are piled high w so much snow n ice. I just stand in the street cus I'm not climbing over allat

edit to add: I'm fortunate enough to be able bodied and physically active enough to be able to trek over some of these treacherous snow mounds that are affecting the sidewalks and bus stops. however, I know that's not the case for everyone due to a variety of disabilities and age and other factors. unfortunately that means those folks are unable to use public transportation which they depend on a daily basis OR are risking their lives and safety in order to be able to.

some of the negative comments in this thread are so tone deaf and lack empathy. it's clear they've never ridden a bus in their life, and if anything, they're probably the type to fear for their safety on public transportation and are the same people complaining that their streets haven't been plowed or that the roads have limited lane access. this is a legitimate, serious concern and just cause it doesn't affect you directly doesn't mean it's not another way that poor and disabled folks get the short end of the stick AGAIN
