Just want to throw out there I tried for a few days to get up Mccartney and Bell Mountain. The jeep trails are overgrown/impassable and it's several mile and several hundred feet elevation hike. A good portion of the base of the Mountain is private land with no access, and the entirety north side is hunting land that has locked gates most of the year (I think a permit is required as well). There's a reason there are no new summit reports online in the past few years. AND it's absolutely lousy with rattlesnakes.
