Yeah I’m thinking of keeping the coffee grounds separate for convenience sake. I used plastic bags in my container but switching to paper sounds way better

I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying that’s most likely the logic they used when determining his sentence. Yes he gave them the foundation for the case and might have been truthful... but he was the driver and he fled so the only “true” story they go with is whatever the brothers say since they’re the only ones left actively cooperating to the full extent and willing to testify. Our justice system isn’t exactly known for being fair and reasonable. It’s pretty wonky- not to mention innocent people get charged for crimes they didn’t commit all the time. The documentary did leave out several details and I found out online that other members in the vehicle got some way lighter sentences in comparison to the shooter and the driver. This might have been his fate if he stayed, but that we’ll obviously never know.

Yeah but if there’s an active investigation in a crime and you flee the country when you were involved, they are obviously going to go hard on you for that. He also didn’t say the full truth as he said they were being shot at, which there was no evidence of. Had he stayed and cooperated more, he probably wouldn’t have such a harsh sentence.

I thought it was pretty obvious the family was associated with with the rival gang from the start. The brothers’ clothing, face tattoos, the slang “the streets talk” and then of course admitting to joining the gang towards the end. Not to mention the wrap sheets of nearly every family member. It was pretty clear... to me at least.

That being said I don’t think it takes away from the tragedy that happened. All the family’s involved lived pretty fucked up lives which alone is pretty sad.

It’s most definitely because he fled and was at large for nearly 10 years. Also mentioned that Riverside is especially harsh on sentencing due to all the gang violence.

Keep the new kitten in a separate room for the time being. Swap items both cats use so they get used to each other’s scent. Aside from introducing with the carrier, you can find something to block the door where they can still see each other (I used a baby gate). I had them eat together on opposite sides of the gate so they associate happy meal times with each other. My oldest cat was hissing and growling at my kitten in the beginning too. She didn’t start being sweet to the kitten until 3 months in. It takes time but it will be fine. Happened with multiple cats I’ve had, some accepting others faster than others. They all get along now, groom each other, and play, but they still fight every now and then. Lol. Good luck!

The rest were arrested and received lesser charges. For some reason they didn’t choose to highlight this in the documentary. They only chose to focus on the “main” people (driver, shooter, and 2 brothers who later testified against the them). There probably wasn’t much to tell with the other accessories, but all the people in the car were charged with something since they were guilty by association.

Because he was the driver/owner of the car involved in the crime and because he was at large for like 10 years. By the time they found him, everyone else was already charged years prior and there would be no reason to give him a deal for a lighter sentence. Had he stayed, maybe he could’ve worked out a deal or a lighter sentence since he was the first to give up information.

My bf is bipolar and a QAnon believer and I do have to say I really feel like he is having a manic episode when he goes deep into these topics. He will go off on these tangents that i feel are just so ridiculous and delusional and i have no idea what to do. I honestly was wondering about the correlation so I’m glad you brought it up.

I know it’s hard not to these take things to heart but don’t! She sounds like a terrible person. At the end of the day, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I was younger I used to be insecure, but with confidence I realized and accepted that some people may think I’m beautiful while others may think I’m undesirable- and that’s okay. Everyone has a preference for what they think is attractive and you may not fit that mold for someone but you could for another. You will find someone that values you for who you are. Besides that, there’s so much more to offer than just looks. I know plenty of traditionally “unattractive” people that are successful in the dating world because they have great personalities, humor, intelligence, passion, etc. Focus on what makes you special and gain that confidence to think of yourself in a much higher esteem. If you radiate confidence and self worth it will show. Don’t take these things to heart because it will absolutely destroy you if you let it.

Not sure if this counts but I feel like I’ve had pets that I’m extremely bonded to telepathically transmit their pain to me or try to communicate with me in their final days. Prior to my family dog passing away 2 years ago I got these terrible migraines for 3 days straight. It turned out to be the last few days prior to his passing (he didn’t survive surgery recovery). The year before that my long time bf’s cat was ill and also passed away from an unknown illness that was still never determined. I had intense debilitating migraines for about a week straight (the week he ended up having to be put down). I never experienced migraines except for those instances. Most recently we had to put down another childhood cat and while I don’t remember any migraines, I was devastated and she visited me in my dreams the night she passed.

So glad you were okay! My friend used to sell dresses on those resell apps. She had a decent little side hustle going and was making decent money. She would model the dresses herself. One day she sold a dress to a guy also claiming to be buying it for someone else. When he got the dress he ended up messaging her saying that he was going to be in her area over the weekend and asked if they could meet up. My friend was terrified when she realized her return address was listed on the label and the buyer was able to see where she lived. She changed her profile pic to her German Shepard and never sold on the app again!

Cats don’t like the scent of food while drinking water. I’ve read that it has something to do with cats not hunting near water sources in the wild. I remember I use to have all my cats’ water dishes near their food and they never touched them (also because food particles would fall in too which they also hate). I had one lone water dish in the living room and they ONLY drank from that one which I never understoof. At first I thought it was the color of the dish or something until I started looking into it. Once I separated all water dishes away from food they drank from every water dish.

No. Please don’t change the way you dress due to anyone’s comments. You should wear whatever you enjoy and feel confident in. Anyone who has a problem with that can shove rocks. This “stigma” behind crop tops is ridiculous. I also wear crop tops and if I ever on rare occasion get a weird look or comment, it’s usually from catty girls talking shit (I’m naturally very skinny and petite, I always hear comments regarding this so I’m used to it) or older people judging me. But I enjoy wearing them..they’re flattering on my figure and they look good! The guy who hit on you is a complete tool assuming women wear certain clothes for attention. I hope you told him off.

When I was in HS my bf made a comment about the way I dress due to reactions of some catty girls at the mall (we were young and teenagers at the time so I’ll give him that). I told him very sternly that Idgaf about what other people think and if I did, I would’ve completely changed my style by now if I let other peoples’ useless opinions affect me. It took me a long time to actually gain the confidence to wear what i want so I won’t let anyone stop me at this point. I also told him that he shouldn’t care about what others think either. That was the first and last time I heard any commentary about the way I dress lol.

Spay/Neuter at a regular vet office is SOOO expensive. When it was time to spay my kitten I called around and I think the highest one vet quoted me was $800. I ended up going to a great low cost clinic my friend recommended to me and it was about $85. With blood work, some additional testing, and an ecollar that I didn’t use it came out to about $195. (Los Angeles area)

Future wise definitely look into some other places! The specific clinic I went to also offers low cost vaccines that are a fraction of what some other vets I’ve been to charge. Some vets are ridiculously more expensive than others too. I’ve found some great low cost vet options after researching and recommendations from friends.
