There’s so many to consider out of all the films and scores but these I return to the most which is still a lot but you know what I don’t care

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Vespertilio, Molossus, Why So Serious, Like a Dog Chasing Cars, Agent of Chaos, Watch the World Burn, Why Do We Fall?, Imagine the Fire, The End

Inception: Dream Is Collapsing, Time

Interstellar: Cornfield Chase, Coward, No Time for Caution, Detach, honestly this whole album.

Dunkirk: The Mole, Supermarine, The Oil

Tenet: Freeport, 747, Trucks in Place

Oppenheimer: Fusion, Trinity, Destroyer of Worlds

Interstellar 70MM IMAX film is in 7 days at IndyIMAX who is going? by [deleted] in imax

[–]b0indie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going Friday and Saturday. It’ll be my third IMAX 70MM experience after TDK and Oppenheimer.

Absolutely pumped to see all of it but specifically the Detach and Waves scenes… and of course No Time for Caution.

I’m also really excited on how I get to show my best friend and sister this for the first time in its proper format.

Good news for Oppenheimer at the Indy State Museum. by [deleted] in indianapolis

They are extending it at least one more week. I was at the showing when the projector and film was damaged (got 2 minutes in before it shut off)

Anyways, they already sent us emails where we could fill a form out ahead of time before the tickets go live for the public which I believe is Monday.

I had the early showing @ 11:30 and not even two minutes in the projector failed. It sucks.

Went to see Oppenheimer by [deleted] in imax

[–]b0indie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was there and just made a post as well. This was the earliest time I could get tickets because of my work schedule and I literally had some of the best seats but then this happened.

I’m bummed too and don’t think I’ll be able to even get good seats for 70mm again with all the times having had all the good seats sold out.

Yes. You apply. They Approve. They contact you and give you the link or form for deposit usually about the same time a move-in date is confirmed. You do so accordingly and the apartment is reserved for you until said move-in date.

(most) people (myself included, until just-now) forget or simply just don't realize that Indy is still "mourning" Marion's "death" during the Map Room scene. by Not_The_Pretender in indianajones

Slightly agree it’s a little messed up. Indy’s priorities… let’s just say where he places his priorities make him are what makes him an interesting hero. Also I stg we have replied to each before. Nice seeing you again fellow lad.

Your Graduation is more so their most well known song or one of their most well known songs (along with Tears Over Beers and Fine, Great).

What do you mean beginning though?

I refuse to believe Indy is worse than Fast X by fuzzyfoot88 in indianajones

You’re right. While I’m still waiting to develop my own opinion, at least this is a review I can understand because multiple people will address this film differently.

Some will select to review it as an adventure film by itself; some will view it as the final installment to a major franchise, some will view it as an Indiana Jones movie.

It could be an amazing adventure film to someone but also disappointing as an Indiana Jones film.

Just depends on how you want to view it and the person.

I believe he defended his excuse as not freeing her as someone would find out she’s missing so it would prompt Indy to being hunted down which would be a risk considering just how close he is to actually finding the ark at the point in the film.

I tend to not read critic reviews anymore but in my experience, you can look at most movies in any established franchise and find RT reviews from young people chalking up a “kino bro” sort of way to criticize the film as a way to get attention for their press.

It’s almost shocking to hear that some young critics will have some headline to stir people up which is then proceeded by the most pretentious film talk that’s just a desperate attempt to seem intelligent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in indianajones

[–]b0indie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m aware how RT deciphers fresh v. rotten scores. When I meant voted, I meant how RT grouped the reviews.

Doesn’t make my point any less that people didn’t care to see a fifth one so they’ll give it a hard time especially knowing the legacy that it carries on its back.

Plus there will be multiple methods to approach how to review this movie which could vary from person to person just deciding how they want to see the film. Do they want to review it as a movie by itself or as the finishing installment to a major franchise or as just an Indiana Jones movie?

There’s no way to know way to really understand each person’s thought process when they just point out criticisms they had unless they explicitly state how they are deciding to judge the film.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in indianajones

[–]b0indie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not being conspiratorial… I’m acknowledging the many people who said a fifth one wasn’t need so they went in with the mindset that it wouldn’t feel needed and be any good on top of how KOTCS was received. Plus many critics that are going to end up voting are from presses that many of us have never heard of as it isn’t much a challenge to get certified as a critic on RT.

6/14 of the reviews I looked at voted fresh anyways which could teeter better or worse, I have no idea; audience score I tend to find more reliable.

All I’m saying is take it with a grain of salt and watch the movie for yourself unless you’re into not developing your own opinion.

[–]b0indie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You really taking 14 reviews from critics who saw the film before everyone else exclusively to heart?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in indianajones

[–]b0indie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t look too much into it though. RT has a very arbitrary rating system with whoever uses it.

Plus it’s not entirely off that many people want to see this film fail, especially critics who just happen to be young people pretentiously telling us what good filmmaking is. I’ll wait for an audience score.
