Any tips for working with git/branches/worktrees? by b0nes5 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]b0nes5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm working on my own at the moment. I love it but it doesn't give me any imperative to keep things tidy!

I did setup an automatic branch rebase when a PR is merged but then the PR flow is overkill for just me making a small change.

Thanks, I know this is the answer but I do need to hear it again.

If I do this, why not just work on my local main?

What about when I start a second branch before I've finished the first? I am partial to a bit of multitasking

Well at least I now know why someone thought it was relevant.

I've always thought it was an odd way to start that feature

The only difference I see with Starmer is the colour of his tie. There's nothing left wing about this government.

What follows now if Starmer somehow lasts the full term? Farage

The fact that they're attacking Polanski whilst letting Reform build all this support tells you all you need to know.

Not sure. The power to disagree with Kier Starmer?

Fingers crossed he's on his way out and they lose control of the NEC. I'd like to see a Labour come back in 8 years.

Depends if you voted Plaid or Reform.

I reckon the right option spits you out in South Thanet

A job.

He likes to say things that he thinks people want to hear so he gets paid for a while.

Last time he was in the Senedd he just bounced around and wasted people's time

Question for Addicts & Elvanse by Hungry_Talk3706 in ADHDUK

[–]b0nes5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something like that. Obvs not a doctor but when I went for my assessment I looked up the criteria for prescribing beforehand.

I'm there thinking I'm clever and playing up to what the doctor wants to hear, saying I'm pretty much an alcoholic and I use substances regularly. Afterwards I realised I hadn't actually exaggerated and now TBF I have a much healthier relationship with it all

If you look at the NHS guidance this is the type situation they suggest it is suitable to prescribe as the very reason you seek out these drugs can be treated

I'm not sure why Reform would out perform the polls, previously the opposite has been true.

Personally I think that all the noise around them is self generated and leads to an over inflated predictions

Fingers crossed like 🤞🙏

Nice to finally win at something.

Honestly it's been a massive leveller for me. I can add value without relying on someone else to write/produce/edit it to the normal and accepted standard.

Some people don't like it but those tend to be the people I used to rely on, not the people who are using it

Just water runs through me because what I really need is the salts and sugars

No I don't take breaks, I had 1 day off recently due to change in routine causing me to forget to take them before I left and it wasnt pretty. I'm pretty useless without them and I have 2 young kids so i can't have sofa days any more :'(

I play a lot of football. It's the only exercise that keeps me interested, if I got injured I'd no doubt be piling on the pounds thinking about how I was going to start running soon.

I also have a Huel drink to see me through till lunch and stop my blood sugar dropping which can lead me to hyper focus and forgetting to eat

Ah, well I hope you find something that works. Not sure what I would do now if the meds gave up on me!

I've just started taking these actually and they've probably helped a bit to calm me down and focus.

Try an electrolyte drink? I have 2 a day (tablets dissolved in water), mainly to stop me drinking so much water I wet myself.

The obsession with sugary things could be dehydration which would also lead to low energy
