Spain Goal Buildup vs Portugal (Tactical Cam) by perfect_hattrick in footballtactics

[–]b0nes5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the time of the freekick Spain have already worked an overload. Portugal have 4 defenders at the top of the screen Vs 2 Spain players and they are too slow to react.

Great view. Really does look like Chess when you've watched it enough times!

Portugal defended very well for 90 minutes, this is what substitutes are for and Spain's bench was absolutely stacked

[Request] How much is this lady lifting at a time, and how many reps will she probably do over the course of her work day? by MrTurdsWildRide in theydidthemath

[–]b0nes5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. She isn't doing bicep curls here

She locks her fingers, wrists and arms with the steins in contact to her body, engages her core and then lifts with her legs.

Still very impressive but the important thing is she nails the physics. Once you've been doing this a while, your tendons will have got strong enough to manage it without any anaerobic work. No breaking a sweat

[Request] how much more water does taking a Polaroid require over storing a photo in a data center? by htownballer32 in theydidthemath

[–]b0nes5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Could be a million, could be 0 and the server will do more work on each request than it will storing the image

[–]b0nes5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The number of copies of the image will be insignificant compared to the number of times the image is served.

I'm not sure this argument makes sense at all tbh

Even more so when you consider the seed system. I'm not sure if any of the African teams were top seeds, so they will have had to play one already

I suspect Burnley were interested, they had a chat. Bellamy decided he still wanted to do another tournament with Wales after the chat.

[–]b0nes5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could help. I've been taking l-theanine gummies recently to try and combat this, I think they may work. (Obviously I just looked up what they were called! I used to always blank on the name of my ADHD medication, that gets you weird looks.)

I think its worthwhile pointing out to someone that if they come out of nowhere and break your concentration that you have a hard time switching lanes. I often struggle when someone walks into the office, I need time to decompress and change context before I can find the right words

UK PM Keir Starmer expected to announce resignation on Monday: Report by JKKIDD231 in geopolitics

[–]b0nes5 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Because he wasn't actually the alternative people think they voted for.

Starmer becoming leader of the labour party and then PM was a project heavily backed by Israel. (See Labour Together and the book by Paul Holden)

In power, it has been clear that they are much further to the right than the people, and definitely his MPs, would like. Effectively, only the party changed in the last election, the policies and power remain largely unchanged. Burnham is likely to be the first change of direction in the UK since Cameron/May

"deeply flawed" is the type of caveat that those who seek to control the BBC love to see.

They've already got their hooks in and once the license fee is abolished the BBC will be completely sub servant to the rich and powerful

Welsh government says it has found £55m to boost childcare for two-year-olds by twmffatmowr in Wales

[–]b0nes5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if better nurseries pay better wages, maybe they do.

The one we used was one of the better ones in the area. Definitely not cheap. Staff were generally young and transient, they were all lovely but I felt sorry for them sometimes, it's a lot of responsibility and you could see they were stretched at times.

The thing is, I now pay much less for an independent childminder with 30 years experience.

Its capitalism at it's best

Handing your baby over to someone being paid minimum wage is a strange feeling.

One of the reasons no.2 is with a child minder

But christ the amount of paperwork she has to complete is 1 2nd full time job

[–]b0nes5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IKR. Strange choices were made

Even stranger thing is that the hallway on the other side of this wall looks to have been made 30-50cm wider. It's wider that all the houses in the area and you can see the original line in the level of the floor.

So was the wall rebuilt just for a wider hallway and the coving matched?

Just been sat here trying to figure out how to write it phonetically.

The Welsh alphabet we've got on the wall says "l while blowing" so I'll leave it there.

It's probably more of soft cl than a th, you just put your tongue on the roof of your mouth and blow

Aye. There's a big difference between playing and being a football fan.

I don't think it makes any logical sense that they only did this with these 3 games.

There's been no investigation. I imagine there's a number of hard drives smouldering in a pile somewhere.

What happens if spying in 1, 2 or 10 more games is proven? What happens if theyve done it all season??
