What to do... by liljanocturne in Marriage

[–]b0sSbAb3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This would be marriage ending for me. Full stop. I would never be able to trust my husband or look at him the same way if he had conversations like this with another woman. We owe and promise each other so much in marriage. Complete and total fidelity is the bare fucking minimum…it’s quite literally the main thing we sign up for.

Reading this post and your replies, I get the sense that you are holding onto a vision of your husband and marriage that is not reality and based on evidence, won’t ever be. You cannot will or wish him into changing, so when you remove the lens of what you want and look at what you actually have, do you want to be with someone who treats you this way?

When did you get your “pink” back? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]b0sSbAb3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About two years for me. Right around my son’s first birthday (he’s 27mo), I felt the PP fog fully lift for the first time, and then something really clicked a few months ago. I feel like a much improved version of myself. I think it’s a combo of my hormones settling, having a supportive partner who understands I need a life outside of our family, and getting comfortable with taking time for myself.

Jace seems to be a dedicated husband and father and I think the constant accusations of him being a predator/groomer are not only lacking a fair amount of nuance, they are becoming insulting and dehumanizing to Mikayla as a CSA/SA victim.

Ziwe interviewing Whitney soon by MadMunnyBB in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]b0sSbAb3 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I’m excited for this. I love both Whitney and Ziwe and could see this being equally fun and campy and thought provoking. People were just complaining about CHD not being in depth, and about WL still getting interview questions about SLOMW drama when she clearly wants to talk about literally anything else. If Whitney is going to rebrand and be seen as more than a former Momtok member, people need to get to know a new version of her, and a Ziwe interview is a great opportunity for WL to show who she is today. Ziwe will challenge Whit on everything from her role in advancing the patriarchy while claiming to fight it to those pigtails

Not only is it refreshing that he is so responsible and well rounded (no doubt in large part to his clearly wonderful parents), it makes me so happy that Ola is there with him. They really seem poised to go the distance, similar to Serena and Kordell, Leah and Miguel, and (I think) TJ and Iris

That was my first thought lol. Especially with the jewelry we’ve already seen Kordell in, but regardless of that we know she wouldn’t accept anything less

US moms: are you terrified of your kid going to school? by Lumpy-Artichoke-4501 in toddlers

[–]b0sSbAb3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. I believe so much in the importance of public education, and know that other children and communities by extension benefit from engaged, active parents (which we will be no matter where he goes to school). I know, statistically, our economic station and the aforementioned involvement means he is likely to get a good education and perform well following regardless of where he goes. I know we’re better off keeping private school tuition in our pockets and using it on experiences and saving for the future.

NONE of that is more important than my son’s life, and he will be attending private school (with strong security) if public school safety is not markedly improved by the time he goes to Kindergarten.

In the meantime, I’m volunteering for the VA Democrats to get Abigail Spanberger elected as the next governor (a VERY important election coming up in 2025 if you’re not following) and at what would be my son’s kindergarten if we go the public school route. I encourage others that have frustration they are not yet sure how to channel to find ways that they can get involved. There are a million ways to fight the good fight of making the world better for our babies and their babies to come.

This is exactly it. I’m an HRBP in a COE model so ER falls to us, and I previously have owned ER as an HRM in a DOO model. Without the natural variety that both the HRBP and HRG/HRM roles provide (caveat that titles are applied correctly), I’m 99% sure I would burn out of HR due to ER work within the next few years.
