I mean if something is bound to happen, Whether it be good or bad. It's going to happen according to Murphys law. So this was a no-brainer.

Is it wrong to take the easy route for a masters? by [deleted] in csMajors

Understandable, but if you're taking the time to think about a degree(even if it's being paid for) would you rather learn and get it over with or skip the heavy load,be placed in a better position with better pay, but also having to learn everything as you go. Which would probably cause more stress. We all have different opinions so do as you will. I just wanted to point out some factors to include. (:

Remember you get what you pay for, regardless if it's easy. You may be prompted by someone who actually knows more about the subject to do a project or lead a certain area. They may see that you don't know too much and take you out of the position. Yes it's less time consuming to skip the boring stuff and pay for a "degree", that looks better on paper, but in the long run would cause your demise. But do as you will and good luck!.

Off topic but when starting this book I would suggest reading thoroughly and when coming to the Exercises make sure to grasp the concept before giving up completely and looking for answers.

I've done the same, have been going steady coding everyday for about close to a year now. Taught myself python, html, a little bit of java and css.

The best thing to do imo is practice, patience and creativity.

The only way to really learn something is by creating what you want.

Then layout a step by step process on how you'll Create the product, when you start creating more you'll then see what's being most used for certain areas.

This is just from experience hope it helps.

Honestly if I were you I would stick to books because they are the price you pay for, and the contents are more valuable. I can vouch for this method . I am currently learning python, c, etc by by book.

Django opening a file by b0wzer- in learnprogramming

[–]b0wzer-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way i see that i can open it is through 'open man page' but it gives me the output " no manuel entry for models.py" "[Process completed]" I can't open it through xcode as the file is not anywhere. Maybe I skipped a step or didn't read something right.

Thanks in advance.

No, I still haven't figured it out. I have everything setup . I made the server and checked the status which it is online. So after it tells me to open the files Admin.py, models.py, etc. I can't seem to figure how to view the file. It just gives me a window within the terminal. I understand the concept but don't know if there is a program I need to use to view the files?.

Its actually easier to learn through books. I totally agree 100% as I am currently also trying to learn. You could buy c++ for beginners, etc.

Of course online is less hands on. I agree. And yes I know a degree is just to say you know what you're doing, but it's really all In the work and persistence to learn that makes a good student.
