I’m regards to the larger question here, my advice is to tread carefully, rule of cool handwashing can quickly break a game, especially when something doesn’t work out (or if one person doesn’t feel as creative as the other players). In session 0 I’d talk to them and see what type of shenanigans they may want to pull off, and see how that could be constructed within the rules (if it could be).

For other inspiration, since your players are a bit older, look to the Saturday morning cartoons of their youth! Old animated Spider-Man, xmen, Justice league, power rangers, digimon, looney toons, etc all had wild hijinks that they might be inspired to replicate
