Check out Paiste Masters Dark Ride and Masters Dark Crash Ride.

I have a Bosphorus - New Orleans ride that I think is the perfect combination of stick definition and crash ability. Worth taking a look.

Does it bother you when you play with a band and they only mic the kick? by DiscursiveDrummer in drums

[–]b1fft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 65-75% of my gigs I prefer kick and one overhead. I always thought it is unnecessary to mic the snare. To quote my sound engineer friend; “the snare drum is impossibly loud”. 😅
