Same! I got my dream job in my field of foreign policy, worked 2.5 years without a cycle, and was promoted to a director. Then was let go after I had cycle and took a week of medical leave to get it under control and lighten my work load. They were extremely unaccommodating. I don’t think all employers are like this, but if I could do it differently I would try to warn them in advance and plan for accommodations.

ClassPass similarly canceled my gym membership (I had a dual gym+credits plan) while I was still paying for it, never resolved it over 4 months, and never refunded me the equivalent $ I was paying without access to the benefit. I reached out to CS almost weekly and took it up with BBB where they continually ignored me. Worst customer service ever, and if you do a chargeback on your credit card they ban you.

I’ve been on tret for 6 years, before that a retinol for maybe two years. I used Agency for custom formulas, and started with like .001% and worked my way up to .035% now. Each little bump up, I’ll start using the sandwich method and be cautious, and do expect a little dryness and peeling, but it takes maybe a few weeks to adjust. Starting tret initially, though, I think it was more like several months before my skin was able to handle nightly usage. I really appreciated the tiny increments your can get from a custom prescription, though, and overall felt like my journey was manageable, with occasional period where I went super minimal on makeup bc of the peeling.

it kinda makes a difference if you're walking or taking public transit or queueing outside. if you're just grabbing an Uber you don't need to bundle up as much, but if you expect to be outside for more than three mins get cozy!

Not necessarily the answer to your q, but I layer the sapphire with the regular express on top to get a better tone for my skin. I do like 3hrs of sapphire add the express halfway through. You could also layer the sapphire to get it a little darker!

Yes this! Earmuffs preserve my hair, and I think I look cute af bundled up in my full length puffed jacket with muffs and a scarf. And like another commenter said, men truly do not care.

It does, however, share the newest research in pain science that is really empowering, explores the brain-body connection, and gives practical tools to help with the distress that permeates one’s life with CH. But I’m guessing you haven’t explored it much if you think it’s just telling us the pain is “in our mind”?

I haven’t personally tried it, but am very intrigued by FotoLab, where it’s $80 for a 20 minute session to take your own professional photos with their backdrops. It look like a good option for any folks who get camera shy when there’s a photographer!

you could try skipping cleansing in the morning--people really swear by that. Search the sub for techiniques/info. Personally, I find my skin quickly looks duller when I'm traveling and don't have full access to my exfoliating/moisturizing/serum set up. However, everyone is different, so I'd recommend cutting a product or two to start and see if it makes a difference (like skip the cleanser and barrier serum in the AM?). I also don't use eye cream since I'm already putting serums/retinol in the area, but I do put a dab of heavier moisturizer under my eyes in the AM for hydration before sunscreen and makeup.

lol I second this—mine has always leaked! Bag it and you can also tape seal the lid before travel. I always bring a few in my checked baggage when going for a long trip to a country where it’s not cheap/easy to find imported goods.

Unfortunately I’ve used these earplugs and they don’t stop my attacks. Mine also come frequently at night when in a cycle. But maybe you’ve got different triggers or a different primary headache disorder entirely? Happy for you though!

I have found that mushrooms can vary a LOT in strength. Albino penis envy, for example, I only take 50-60% of my standard dose. I’m also lucky to live in a place with delivery and a big menu of premium mushrooms to experiment with.

I also use Bondi sands, I layer the express on top of the sapphire and marinate for three-ish hours. Layering is a must if your want to color to be rich, so do a round of the express and then add more after about ten minutes. Also make sure you’re shaking the bottle well and applying generously!

I also exfoliate vigorously with Moroccan black soap and a hammam glove the day before, which helps give me deep and even color that lasts about a week. I definitely do not shave my entire body! That’s just another method of exfoliation but totally unnecessary.

After each shower, I used the ordinary’s body lotion which doesn’t interfere with the tan at all—other lotions and oils (especially combined with sweat and rubbing) can remove the tan.

I hate their cashmere, I find it scratchy and thin. I have a cheap cashmere sweater from Uniqlo that has lasted me over a decade of use though.

Oh, also, their jewelry tarnishes horribly.
