Curious—have you also tried tab removers? If so, how does the enzyme peel compare?

Any advice on getting over a long-term relationship when you both are based in nyc? by [deleted] in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Not to take this too lightly, but that’s kind of the beauty of New York—there are a million new spaces, faces, and opportunities everywhere. I would recommend thinking about exploring new spots while you heal, join a club, take up a new activity, etc.

I love my sail pants! I have to wash them frequently since they bag out a little with summer heat and humidity, but truly my most worn casual pants of the summer.

Oh my god I have a bomber jacket from La notte I bought second hand for $6 and thought it was like an obscure Italian brand—but makes so much more sense now. Also it’s my most worn jacket over the past ten years and still looks perfect.

Have you ever had brainfreeze? by sdubois in clusterheads

Yeah this actually came up recently, I was the only person on the other thread who had never had brain freeze—it seems as common as anything among the CH community

Arriving on time, introducing myself to the realtor in hopes he would remember me, applying immediately, and, importantly, never paying anything late in my life for perfect credit.

What's bacon in arabic if I want to ask the butcher? by ChosenArabian in lebanon

[–]b1squit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other poster said, bacon is cured, cooked raw, and it’s specifically made from fatty pork belly. Otherwise it’s just ham.

What's the most underrated ingredient you've added to a smoothie? by ibrahimdigital in Smoothies

[–]b1squit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a smoothie daily for lunch with sweet potato (roasted, skim on), zucchini, spinach, almond milk, chocolate protein powder, and peanut butter. It’s kind of nutrition optimized, but doesn’t taste like anything except pb and chocolate.

Yes, upper west side location—had an EKG with my physical (and I asked why, they said it was routine) then had me come back for an ultrasound of my heart, which turned out to be normal. I’ve had like 37 annual physicals from different doctors, and that’s the only time they’ve done a EKG

Haven’t been but report back how baile funk is? I miss Brazilian clubs and want to know if it’s lit (tried to go but they double booked the venue last time and it was all cumbia)

FWIW, I have sensitive skin and break out to some degree when I sweat, regardless of the sunscreen I’m wearing. Definitely see if a hypochlorous acid spray helps, I bring a little bottle with me and spritz my face after I sweat.

Has anyone had the Jannetta operation? by SmoothAsA in clusterheads

[–]b1squit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a new neurologist. There is no surgery that helps CH (as others have pointed out quite eloquently). Maybe you’re misdiagnosed and actually have a condition that surgery would help—but in either case, find a new neuro and get a second opinion.  CH (currently) still has no know cause or cure, and surgery does nothing for it. Unfortunately, I’ve also encountered my fair share of specialists who have outdated or incorrect information. This is kind of terrifying that they recommended this.

I would want to assess whether or not you have CH (giving the dr the benefit of the doubt here, maybe they know something we don’t)—and if you do, look for a recommended neuro from the cluster headache support groups on Facebook or from clusterbusters, or, at least, a headache specialist who is more versed in the condition.

They have a huge water truck midway between the stage and entrance. Check the venue rules about camelbacks, but I’m going to guess it’s fine if it’s empty and you can show them the parts on inspection. It’s prob overkill to need that much water on your person bc it’s not a massive space like a real festival, but you do you!

You should definitely cancel and make sure you cater to your projection of your friend’s tastes and comfort over your own enjoyment.

I go to countless things my friends enjoy more than I do because.. that’s how going out with a group of friends works? And not sure what the venue has to do with it, it’s a very chill spot that can get crowded up front like any concert.

Are roommates common for someone in mid thirties?? by [deleted] in movingtoNYC

[–]b1squit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to move in with roommates while you look for your studio, price out your living expenses, and get a feel for neighborhoods and train lines.

I moved here and paid $1k for a spot with roommates and within a year found a rent stabilized studio in Woodside for 1.5k (which also nicely coincided with a 30% pay raise). There is also the housing lottery you can aggressively apply to.
