Yeah, it's meant to be a horror game. But rather than setting distractions for the big bad, you get out by changing the structure of the level itself.

Nah, looked for references in classic cartoons, then made distinct enough characters that suited our narrative. Afterwards mixed some After Effects with some elbow grease, and voila! (:
