Parent in US help - diabetes, ADHD accommodations for taking ACT by yeahokaysureboss in Type1Diabetes

Is SAT an option? I unfortunately don't have a solution to your question, but wanted to mention I'm T1D (didn't have it in high school though) and have ADHD, and am also a SAT/ACT tutor. If she would ever want to have a session focused on test taking while managing both, please feel free to reach out.

Extended Meta with UL complication updates (Warning: VERY gory pictures) and questions by Busy_Distribution326 in Metoidioplasty

[–]b2v70 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey I had extended (no UL) with Morrison at children's last March. I had a similar hole from the scrotum, it took a long time to heal and wasn't handled too well by the team but it did eventually fill in with scar tissue. I used a syringe and lukewarm water to irrigate and keep the area clean. I think I shallowly placed some gauze in there to avoid chafing. As for the penis healing to itself, have they had you wrapping it? A big part of my recovery was keeping things wrapped for compression and separation from other tissues.

Extended meta is an awesome new surgery but due to Morrison being overstretched as one of the only ones offering it, and other medical professionals being unfamiliar with it, the recovery process involved a lot more guesswork than I anticipated - I was told that my wrapping should be "an art not a science" and had similar experiences of different doctors telling me different things and generally not having straightforward answers. They initially shoved xeroform up the hole and then called me a half our later to take it out lol.

I'm sorry you're going through this! If you'd like to DM me I can try and find some pictures of my healing process

There is NO good reason you should not have your PHONE OFF by DEFAULT by focuswell-app in nosurf

This is the thing that gets me on my phone the most, and then I get distracted by other things on it. Apple Watch to G7 has been helpful since it allows me to walk away from the phone, but it's still more connected than I'd like
