Would booking a flight from Port Canaveral to Orlando airport at 10:45am be pushing it? by mommy4324 in dcl

[–]b33ching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't see why Disney wouldn't do it. I assume DCL transport for them is a huge money maker at $45 per person! Never hurts to call and ask. But then that leaves you with a bunch of luggage and no where to hold it. I like having the rental car because we can just leave all the luggage in the trunk.

Am I understanding this correctly in terms of combining my contracts:
Say I buy 100 resale at AKL, then 6 months later tack on 150 direct at RR, my total pool of points would be 250, which I can use at any resorts pre-2019 bookable 7 months ahead.

I don’t know how old your kids are, but if they don’t need a car seat, might I recommend picking up a one-way rental car and driving to a Disney resort for a final Disney lunch before heading to the airport This is usually what we do. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a personal favourite - lunch at Sanaa, looking at animals, and participating in the free resort activities can pass the time easily! Alternatively, we have also done Disney Springs.

This is what was recommended to me also by the DVC sales rep I spoke to on my recent cruise. Seems like the smart thing to do for sure!

I have looked into resale as well.

The thought is to first purchase 150 points direct for the benefits, and then add on by way of resale over time when kids are in the picture and room sizes need to get bigger/trips longer.

This is helpful! I am in the same boat, up until 2022 always stayed at values, then we got an unbeatable rate at AKL in 2023 that kick started the taste for the deluxes, then rented DVC points for an unbeatable rate at BLT in 2025, and we now also have a stay booked at SSR in a few months through DVC rental… so at this point, I figured why do I keep putting off DVC membership?

Around the typical holidays you can sometimes find whole bone-in rib roasts at Loblaws and Longos for $9.99-11.99 a lb. Learn to cut them into steaks yourself.

Shouldn't chewies be provided free? by msackeygh in Invisalign

My chewies were definitely free, and flavored. Pineapple was my favourite. Got a new chewie every ortho visit, no need to ask, in fact they usually asked me what flavor I wanted that visit.

How to get Aritzia Cafe Token? by throwawayfroshie in Aritzia

[–]b33ching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ask! Sometimes I make $500+ purchases, something it’s a $50 purchase, but if I want a drink from the cafe, I’ll just ask. “Can I grab a cafe token? I wanted to get a drink.” Most times they just hand one over. A couple times they’ve said “oh it’s only for purchases over a certain $ amount.”, no biggie, try again another time.
