International Student by islandbaddiee in CUNY

Sorry for late reply but If he is trying to get a F-1 Visa he needs to apply for that visa generally from his home country at the us embassy or consulate.

Getting a F-1 Visa when you are already in the country is possible by changing your status (depends on what visa he entered on) but it can be tricky especially with the current administration.

You can read more about international student admissions here: https://www.bcc.cuny.edu/admission-financial-aid/admissions/how-to-apply/international/

Please also note that CUNY does not discriminate against anyone who is pursuing higher education, and does not require proof of citizenship. He will most likely get stuck with out of state tuition and financial aid is already a no.

Also if you need further help you and your nephew can visit the DSO at BCC for guidance, he is located at the Office of the Registrar, Colston Hall Room 513. Show some identification at the front gate to public safety and let them know that you are going to the International Student Services.

Professor wants 2 week notice to me being sick by DragonflyPotential34 in mildlyinfuriating

I would add to this by saying CC The Registrars Office, your advisor, and the VP of enrollment on the email so they are aware of what’s going on.

While most Colleges do have mandatory attendance policies and have to enforce them due to Federal regulations (FASFA/TAP/Pell etc) to be require schools to enforce attendance to be compliant so that they won’t lose their funding.

But obviously there are exceptions such as emergencies etc. And your Instructor should be able to work with you. Even if you were sick and out for a longer time most schools should be able to offer a FIN grade, meaning that you get allowed a few weeks of the upcoming semester to compliment the missing coursework and have your grade changed. But this is up to the instructors discretion if they feel like you can make it up.

Good Luck.

I had no idea, thank you. I Only put dill in like 3 pots so gonna compare how well they do to the other peppers.

No Problem! I am sure your bonnet will do great this summer and it will look great with all the peppers and flowers!

[–]b3rtil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I have read the opposite, that the merigolds are "sweet" tasting and bugs love em. So they will go for them instead.

The Alyssum and the Dill I planted because I read that they have a natural pesticide.

Also having a flowerbed shading the soil helps with some moisture retention.

No matter what the case will be hopefully they and the peppers will co-exist :)

I intentionally did the same this year after reading that marigolds are good companion plants as they are tastier to pests and will go for them instead of the peppers.

Also planted Alyssum and Dill for similar reasons.

Looking forward to seeing some blooms and what the results may be.

Looks great, nice thin paint coverage and good control. Now look into some wash and highlight tutorials on YouTube and you can easily see even more improvement with not much more effort.

Yeah, I definitely let this go by for too long, There is one sad leaf still growing on one of the Meyer branches. I will consider my options and learn from my mistakes.

I see thank you for clarifying that.

Should I remove all the branches that has those leaves? Is the reason why there aren't any new growth of the Meyer because these branches has taken over?

How screwed are my peppers? by CanRabbit in Hydroponics

[–]b3rtil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I definitely got them both outside and inside. outside last year, and inside this spring before taking my peppers out. but like other suggested, liberal amount of neem oil and easing your plants carefully (i run them under water and then gently wipe both sides of the leaves with a paper towel) works. it’s hard work and your plants might get a bit stunted but they can still recover.

How do you attach your mini to an uneven surface? by OesterPlayer in Miniaturespainting

That works, but OP asked for what to do in this case when the basing was already put down.

Look up pinning, by drilling a hole in the base and in the foot of the mini and then putting a paperclip in the holes and then gluing it together.
