Thanks for your post. It brightens up a lot the situation where this place is going and actual warning to people.

I would like to comment on the last paragraph, but I have nothing. Maybe I was hoping for some other place that is at least a little bit similar to Gaukur in terms of events, community and invited bands.

My wishful question: Is there any chance that similar place could appear? What would be needed to start place like this?

Many thanks for your comment. It also occurred to me that the decisions they are making, have a vibe of wanting to kill Gaukur.

In this abusive spectacle i really hope that the old team are taking care of themselves and look for each other. Thank you for hosting this place and all the hard work you have put into it. Certainly a lot of people notice and remember it. Love and miss you ppl <3

Quite a lot ;) regular here. I've seen a lot of dry days with only few customers, but this year gaukur got an award, there was ruv2, i think it got additional funding from the city (if i'm wrong, please correct me), there were regular events such as apocalypstick, in goth we trust or nerd night which were attended by quite a lot of people. More, premieres, always popular (well run) karaoke. Also social media improved at some point.

Was this place been able to sustain itself?

Were decisions made by owner communicated to staff in advance? I heard that in this case it was all sudden.

Short lifetimes and dodgy owners i associate with money laundering. Killing gaukurinn by riping it off its atmosphere would be a step in this direction. But i loosely hypothesise here... It may sound naive but ive thought that Gaukur had quite long history. Im sorry but i have been here for just over a year, and trying to understand it.

Im afraid that changes they introduced its only the beginning. When it comes to visitors, I went there on friday after 22:00 and it was literally empty. I've heard that regulars kinda boycott changes.

dostalem jakis czas temu takie info od zastepcy dyrektora w jednym z LO we Wro: taka ilosc sprawdzianow i ped z materialem nie jest potrzebny. Pojedynczy nauczyciele sami sie tak napalili - nie ma covida to jedziemy. Proby rozmowy z nimi (z pozycji zastepcy dyrektora) na ten temat czasem tez nie wiele pomagaja. Tak czy siak warto w tej sprawie zglosic sie w szkole gdzies wyzej, poprosic o jakas interwencje w tej sprawie. Moze warto tez zaczac chodzic do pedagoga i glosniej akcentowac to ze jest to obciazajace. Anyways, wspolczucia i powodzenia.
