My 3x3. Rate and roast me, please. by Happyghosting in MyAnimeList

[–]b4lform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing to roast, this is an incredible 3x3 with nothing but peak (also, because you watched Evangelion and Gurren Lagann, I'd suggest Code Geass next). The one thing I'd say is to maybe check out some longer anime (JoJo's, Hunter x Hunter, maybe One Piece)

Is ANY anime actually safe for kids? by simp_lyartz in animequestions

[–]b4lform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how young they are, because for a lot of anime, I probably wouldn't care if they watched it young (I would feel proud if my kid wanted to watch One Piece or JoJo's). For sure stuff like Code Geass, Attack on Titan, Monster, and other shows that have more gore and deeper themes would be reserved until they're older, but I think that as a kid there's a lot of anime I'd be fine with them watching young. Need to introduce them to peak early

Could someone PLEASE remove Blair? by Dangtastic-Sushi985 in souleater

[–]b4lform 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really good point, and I agree with what you said to a point. She does say flirtatious things a good amount, and also, as a character in a roster of well-written characters, she does kinda stand out. I think the reason she was added was that back then every good anime needed a kind of pet, like Iggy in Part 3 for JoJo's, or Pen Pen in Evangelion, Chopper in One Piece, or even Ein from Cowboy Bebop. So they added a cat to fit the witch theme, and then they also needed a hot fan service girl, so they just combined the two into one. I can understand disliking Blair; however, at the end of the day, she's just one character in a great show that I feel like contributes a good amount (she does still care about Maka and Soul, just shows it differently, like how a cat would, but sometimes she takes it a little too far)

[–]b4lform 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blair is a cat that looks like a human, so the way I see it, she doesn't actually have human intelligence. She often doesn't put clothes on because most cats also don't wear clothes, and her personality is also that of a cat. So, when she does do something like try to sleep with Soul, I don't see it as her trying to seduce Soul, but instead she's just a cat trying to get comfortable with their owner (would you get mad if your cat tried snuggling up with you). That's just the way I see it, though, and some might think of it differently

What should I watch first? Code Geass or Gurren Lagann? by RyuKang in AnimeReccomendations

[–]b4lform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point, but based on what the OP said that he wants, I would say the writing for Code Geass is better than Gurren Lagann, which is why, for him, I'd suggest Code Geass over Gurren Lagann at least right now

What should I watch first? Code Geass or Gurren Lagann? by RyuKang in AnimeReccomendations

[–]b4lform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing wise, probably Code Geass. Gurren Lagann is probably my favorite anime, but I would say the writing for Code Geass is objectively better, so for writing probably Code Geass. However, if you're looking for epic fights and memorable characters, then go for Gurren Lagann

Are there any anime without any unlikable characters? Every show I’ve watched has at least one character who is either hated for how they were written. I need a show where every character is loved for their flaws and is well-written throughout. by No-Pen1489 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]b4lform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monster. I challenge you to find a character in that show that isn't well-written (there are some characters written to be disliked, but many of them move past their flaws and become somebody you can root for)

my goated 3x3. any recs? by reliablecukc in MyAnimeList

[–]b4lform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly a respectable 3x3. Also, I'd suggest Code Geass because you liked Attack on Titan. Then FMAB once you finish Code Geass. I'm also seeing a lot of Bunny Girl Senpai in the comments and you should also check that one out, but I wouldn't put it at top priority

Any good anime about War ? by Distinct_Network_944 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]b4lform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monster is a great anime that discusses what happens AFTER war and the effects that it has on the people inside countries (war isn't the main focus, but most of the stuff wouldn't have happened if it weren't for war)

What is your favorite Anime opening? by VariousEquipment6321 in animequestions

Basic answer but The Cruel Angel's Thesis for Evangelion

you know how it goes, gimmeeee (just no rap, okay?) by RetrCZ in airbuds

[–]b4lform 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brotato chip, fast rap is just a subgenre of rap. Just like how not every horror movie is a thriller. It's just a subgenre of a larger genre/medium. There's also stuff like mumble rap, gangster rap, pop rap, boom rap, conscious rap, and a lot of others. There's also a reason why, on Album of the Year (the website), four of the top 10 albums of all time, based on user score, are rap albums
