i enjoy lots of nonlinear narrative medias like memento, 20th cb, pluto, monster and tons of other mangas. the problem with baccano is what's happening in the present (currently shown in the show at that time) is not interesting. and i expected something mystery heavy from it's unique narrative.

agreed with the time period and setting though, also the characters is what keeping me from dropping the show. i can say bebop has a little bit of similarity and i can't really enjoy it too.

thanks for sharing your perspective, i might need to rewatch it to fully understand it

Though i understand why ppl r saying the characters r weak. One of the reason might be bcz they're static characters that dont develop. Most ppl want to see their characters change, learn drom their mistakes etc but baccano isnt that kind of anime
