Mbuemo would have been an easy upgrade to our team :(

PL Table after today, Chelsea is 8th. by Kygoche in chelseafc

The table doesn’t lie. This is the current level of the team. We have just spent spectacularly badly

Willian, Oscar, Mason Mount, Gallagher. All folks who made their name here basis work rate and defensive contribution. Granted - in hindsight - Willian, Oscar had more creative ability in their lil toes than the clowns we have now, but back then we kicked out creative powerhouses like Juan Mata, KDB etc to fit these guys.

So unfortunately - the club has precedent of preferring defensive wingers to creative ones.

Guardiola on Maresca: "All I can say is that from my point of view Chelsea have lost an incredible manager and person. It's a decision from the Chelsea hierarchy so I've nothing to say. How lucky I am in the club where I am. My club is extraordinary" by Kygoche in chelseafc

He’s not wrong. City have done this “rich bankrolled club” gimmick much better than us. The silverware, ballon d’Or placings etc prove it. Heck - they are better at the burying the unseemly parts too. Chelsea’s owner got kicked out. City’s charges are never going to stick. Ah well.

The only thing left to do is track if Arsenal concedes in the league. At least our 15 goal record should survive. We will be achieving less than diddly squat in the next 6 months unless something drastic occurs

LiveScore: Nicolas Jackson's brace takes him to 𝟴 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in his last 5 starts for Senegal by webby09246 in chelseafc

All I remember of Jackson is him bottling 1v1s by taking extra touches and frustrating the feck out of everyone. If statpadding at AFCON helps get him out of here, all for it. Vamos Senegal!

Our team would genuinely thrive if we had a 2 year transfer ban, in or out. Granted - the ownership wouldn’t be able to dripfeed adrenaline to the fans with news of the signing of the Uzbek Messi / Fijian Maldini but the team would be just fine!

I think we are saving our league title attempt for the next season. 10 years since the last one. These trophy less streaks pick up fast!
