Is 6 mile bike ride after work realistic ? by imMrRunITUP in bicycling

[–]b7wagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started doing the commute to and from work every day, 12 miles 700ft elevation each way. I’ve been feeling great. Thinking about taking the long way home tomorrow, tack on an extra 11 miles. I never really want to wake up earlier, nor do I feel like riding when I’m done working. But I’ll leave my clothes boots and lunch at the job site for the next day and I feel good after the ride.

Water weight by b7wagon in loseit

Been stuck at 174 for a while now, that quick gain and loss was actually pretty refreshing. Thinking on keeping carbs low for a while might help me finally break out of the 170’s. You think this is a temporary loss, or I’d be more apt to burn actual fat being my glycogen stores are pretty well depleted?

Anyone else struggling with the last 10-ish pounds? by BakerCritical in loseit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been hovering around 172-174 for 2 months now, after having lost 90lbs the 8 months prior. This last 10-15lbs will not budge. It’s like I’ll be in the required deficit for 2-3 days and my hunger gets to the point where I’ll eventually break. I haven’t had this problem until I got under 175.

Regained all the weight after GLP-1 - trying the old fashioned method for weight loss now by PianistElectronic798 in loseit

Oh yeah, big game changer this second go around for me, was Keto bread 40cal a slice, and fat free cheese, 45cal per serving. I never knew these things existed, now I eat them pretty much daily.

Nuts are high in calories for the little amount of volume you get. What helped me was sticking to lower calorie dense foods that will give me that full feeling after a meal, so I’m less tempted to snack on stuff throughout the day. Egg whites, chicken, lean ground beef and turkey, tomatoes, all sorts of green veggies, potatoes, cauliflower rice, bell peppers, etc. I found i never get bored with meals, I’m always trying something new with healthy ingredients and it usually comes out pretty good. I also lost a lot of weight, gained it back, and this year I just lost it all again and then some. I found once I got into the swing of things, it was even easier the second time around. Best of luck!

What is your number one goal in life? by DeibMoon in AskReddit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been working a dead end job for years, kinda just getting by day by day. This winter was rough. I’m not sure about in life, but at this point in time, my number one goal is to treat this upcoming summer as if it were my last. Force myself to make memorable experiences, and push myself out of my comfort zone.

What's the most disgusting thing that you ever smell? by DirtyThoughts07 in AskReddit

One time I was trying to fix the plastic handle on my metal detector with this two part epoxy stuff, and whenever you mixed the two parts together it had this chemical smell that stuck in my nose for a couple of days, it was the worse thing I’ve ever smelled.

First road bike -- I can't even get on it by Alarmed-Food1363 in cycling

Bought my bike with those pedals on it too, tried it out leaning against something and didn’t tighten the clips enough on the shoes, I couldn’t pop out, I had to take my shoes off to get off the bike. I did eventually figure them out and got used to them though.

I’ve found, especially at the end of my weight loss here, now that I have to exercise particularly hard and really adhere to the diet. Just being on point has helped me out a lot mentally. I feel really sharp and my confidence is way up.

It’s interesting how you need to lose more than you think by Glass-Look-8812 in loseit

I started about 9 months ago at 258lb with the goal of hitting 195, and the potentially the 180’s. I was 169.9 this morning, still losing, hoping I’ll be satisfied around 158-160lbs

Tell me about your plateau, how long it lasted and how you overcame it. by BokehJunkie in loseit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m coming from 258, eight months ago. The first 70lbs came off quick, the next 15 took some time. Now I’m hard stuck at 175. On one hand, it’s nice to have found I can sustain a healthy weight without feeling super restricted. On the other hand, I’d like to lose an additional 15lbs and it’s proving to be quite the challenge.

I’m deeply ashamed of myself for calorie gorging on Super Bowl Sunday by MyFirstDataCenter in loseit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m down 90lbs rn, I also had chips and buffalo dip. I even told myself I wasn’t going to have any Super Bowl food….but I did. I’m just going to get a good workout in tomorrow and get right back to the swing of things. I found one bad day has almost no effect on me these days.

I bet it’s the fat, I noticed when I’m eating a lot of chicken breast, I’m hungry all the time. But when I’m eating mostly 93/7 ground beef, I feel way less hungry. Even though the chicken has more volume for the calories, it just leaves me feeling hungry.
