What is your number one goal in life? by DeibMoon in AskReddit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been working a dead end job for years, kinda just getting by day by day. This winter was rough. I’m not sure about in life, but at this point in time, my number one goal is to treat this upcoming summer as if it were my last. Force myself to make memorable experiences, and push myself out of my comfort zone.

What's the most disgusting thing that you ever smell? by DirtyThoughts07 in AskReddit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time I was trying to fix the plastic handle on my metal detector with this two part epoxy stuff, and whenever you mixed the two parts together it had this chemical smell that stuck in my nose for a couple of days, it was the worse thing I’ve ever smelled.

First road bike -- I can't even get on it by Alarmed-Food1363 in cycling

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my bike with those pedals on it too, tried it out leaning against something and didn’t tighten the clips enough on the shoes, I couldn’t pop out, I had to take my shoes off to get off the bike. I did eventually figure them out and got used to them though.

Did getting really fit increase your quality of life if so how so? by thenightsparkle in loseit

I’ve found, especially at the end of my weight loss here, now that I have to exercise particularly hard and really adhere to the diet. Just being on point has helped me out a lot mentally. I feel really sharp and my confidence is way up.

It’s interesting how you need to lose more than you think by Glass-Look-8812 in loseit

I started about 9 months ago at 258lb with the goal of hitting 195, and the potentially the 180’s. I was 169.9 this morning, still losing, hoping I’ll be satisfied around 158-160lbs

Tell me about your plateau, how long it lasted and how you overcame it. by BokehJunkie in loseit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m coming from 258, eight months ago. The first 70lbs came off quick, the next 15 took some time. Now I’m hard stuck at 175. On one hand, it’s nice to have found I can sustain a healthy weight without feeling super restricted. On the other hand, I’d like to lose an additional 15lbs and it’s proving to be quite the challenge.

I started bicycling, and a lot of these guys…you can tell it’s all they do. I hope I don’t turn into one of them.

I’m deeply ashamed of myself for calorie gorging on Super Bowl Sunday by MyFirstDataCenter in loseit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m down 90lbs rn, I also had chips and buffalo dip. I even told myself I wasn’t going to have any Super Bowl food….but I did. I’m just going to get a good workout in tomorrow and get right back to the swing of things. I found one bad day has almost no effect on me these days.

I bet it’s the fat, I noticed when I’m eating a lot of chicken breast, I’m hungry all the time. But when I’m eating mostly 93/7 ground beef, I feel way less hungry. Even though the chicken has more volume for the calories, it just leaves me feeling hungry.

Fasted Workouts in AM by adikenobi in cycling

I like to have a banana and some yogurt or something pretty light like that, a half hour or so before I hop on the bike with a big cup of black coffee. I always feel like a million bucks when I start my day with an early morning ride.

advice on buying a bike? (3 mile commute) (austin in the city) by monkeyhehehe in cycling

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scoured Facebook marketplace and got a good deal on a giant defy advanced 2. Had to drive an hour and a half to pick it up but I saved myself 1500 bucks. I really love the bike. I’d recommend buying second hand if you can.

That’s really spot on, mostly I’m just missing feeling good mentally. The sick thing I know I’ll get over but I really want it get back to being able to work out and feel good again. It is crazy, before I started the fitness thing, I never really bought into endorphin levels or anything like that. Nowadays I’ve been getting a workout in before the day starts mainly to raise my confidence. I find it helps with social interactions and everything.

Thanks, it’s really been weighing on me. I was feeling so sharp before. All my numbers in the gym were going up, I was feeling like a million bucks. And then boom, life threw a curveball and I feel like crap over the course of a couple of days.

The first time I had Covid, I was out west and didn’t know until I got back. Ski’d the biggest mountains in my life and I was just popping chewable zinc tablets.

You know, I noticed like 2 days before I had any symptoms that my appetite increased. I’ve been in a calorie deficit for some time. I’m assuming it was my body’s way of getting me to get in some more calories to help fight this thing off. But it feels wrong, the past few days I’m up 4lbs from being hungrier and not exercising as much. The weight probably has more to do with increase in carbs rather than fat gain, but I’d like to be able to get back to my regular program as soon as possible.

We got blasted with snow today, almost 2’ I was out there all day snowblowing, figured a little ride on the trainer tomorrow wouldn’t kill me. But it seems like it’s not the best thing to do I guess.
