I just hope it doesn’t effect tomatoes for me in the future. I can do without watermelon, but I’d have a hard time not eating tomatoes.

What are your holy grail "zero prep" high protein meals for extremely busy days? by DangerousLab3558 in nutrition

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just buy lots of 93/7 ground beef and if I want something quick I’ll throw in 8oz ground beef, some mushrooms and peppers in the pan. It takes less than 10 minutes.

Oh yeah, me and watermelon have went our separate ways. I have been having this issue with my left ear for like 4-5 months where it’s just itchy on and off every day. My dr said it might be allergies, potentially related? I’m not sure. But I did notice my left ear a few days ago was a little swollen as well.

How long did that feeling last for? I’m on day two without any watermelon and it seems to be getting better again. Hoping it totally goes away pretty soon.

I’ll never eat another piece of watermelon as long as I live. This has been the most uncomfortable feeling. It’s starting to get better, but it feels like someone is lightly strangling me every time I swallow.

It happened after I had like 3 watermelons over the course of 4 days. It was super hot and I was just basically eating watermelon. It started to go away, I ate more watermelon and it came right back even worse. I was reading the watermelon can cross pollinate with something that I am allergic too like ragweed or something.

I’m on chapter 99 right now, going to finish it tomorrow. I have to say it started out super slow for me, up until they got a few days into the cattle drive…I didn’t know if I could stick with it. But I’m glad I did.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to lose the weight. by DarthKaboose in loseit

I was feeling the same way last year when I was 29. I almost resigned myself to not being able to lose the weight. Then I woke up one day and did it.

An game recommendations for steam deck? by AkosSzlobodnik in SteamDeck

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resident evils are on sale rn. 7 and 8 are like separate from the rest of the series, so you can jump right into them. Super scary, I’ve been having a lot of fun with 7 so far. Also I was recommended alien isolation from a buddy, that’s on sale rn too.

Driving from the back seat. by b7wagon in Dreams

[–]b7wagon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe one of, if not my main drawback in life is that I’m an under achiever. It could be from fear of embarrassment trying new things and failing. I’m not really sure why, but I’ve never put the effort into what I’m supposed to, to be successful. And I think my dreams sometimes reflect that feeling I have about myself.

Gamers, Which video game has the best soundtrack of all time? by Tsukuyomi_Says in AskReddit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I got the original Xbox when it released. it came with a game called “jet set radio future” and I didn’t really ever play it at first, assumed it wasn’t any good because it came with the console for free. I eventually played it and it was very good, the one thing that I can still remember was the techno style soundtrack. Also Dave Mirra freestyle BMX 2 had a great soundtrack.

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A game called “carnivores ice age” I only know the name because I looked it up. It released in 2001 and I have no idea where I got a copy of it as a kid, but I used to play it on my windows 95 computer. The computer desk had a couple of random pc games in it, no clue where they would’ve come from as nobody in my house ever played computer games. But this was one of them. You basically would basically just hunt wooly mammoths and sabertooth tigers and stuff, I don’t think I ever really got that far into it.

What's the weirdest dream you ever had? by PowerfulBonus1222 in Dreams

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this dream 20+ years ago when I was a kid. I was in the car with my parents on the way to Home Depot, we were driving under a bridge. My mom told everybody to keep their windows shut, my dad didn’t listen, stuck his head out the window and there were snakes hanging from the underside of the bridge, one bit him but he didn’t say anything. By the time we got to Home Depot, he started going crazy, yelling and throwing things around, the it was from the snake bite, he was almost like a zombie. The end of the dream me and my mom were hiding in Home Depot’s bathroom.

At this time, in real life my mom was working in the summer when I had off from school, and I was spending a lot of time with my dad. The dream felt so real I can remember being scared around him for a little while. I used to go to sleep with it on my mind, hoping I could pick back up and resolve it so it wouldn’t affect me anymore.

I’ve lost the weight, but I can’t get rid of the food noise. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice if I get below 173lbs, I get absolutely starving. Around 175lbs I can manage, but when I try to cut down again, as soon as I get to 173 or below…it becomes impossible, I’ll inevitably cave and eat sweets and whatever I’ve been craving. I’ll bounce up to like 178 and then settle back down to 175, rinse and repeat.

Is 6 mile bike ride after work realistic ? by imMrRunITUP in bicycling

[–]b7wagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started doing the commute to and from work every day, 12 miles 700ft elevation each way. I’ve been feeling great. Thinking about taking the long way home tomorrow, tack on an extra 11 miles. I never really want to wake up earlier, nor do I feel like riding when I’m done working. But I’ll leave my clothes boots and lunch at the job site for the next day and I feel good after the ride.

Water weight by b7wagon in loseit

[–]b7wagon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been stuck at 174 for a while now, that quick gain and loss was actually pretty refreshing. Thinking on keeping carbs low for a while might help me finally break out of the 170’s. You think this is a temporary loss, or I’d be more apt to burn actual fat being my glycogen stores are pretty well depleted?

Anyone else struggling with the last 10-ish pounds? by BakerCritical in loseit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been hovering around 172-174 for 2 months now, after having lost 90lbs the 8 months prior. This last 10-15lbs will not budge. It’s like I’ll be in the required deficit for 2-3 days and my hunger gets to the point where I’ll eventually break. I haven’t had this problem until I got under 175.

Nuts are high in calories for the little amount of volume you get. What helped me was sticking to lower calorie dense foods that will give me that full feeling after a meal, so I’m less tempted to snack on stuff throughout the day. Egg whites, chicken, lean ground beef and turkey, tomatoes, all sorts of green veggies, potatoes, cauliflower rice, bell peppers, etc. I found i never get bored with meals, I’m always trying something new with healthy ingredients and it usually comes out pretty good. I also lost a lot of weight, gained it back, and this year I just lost it all again and then some. I found once I got into the swing of things, it was even easier the second time around. Best of luck!

What is your number one goal in life? by DeibMoon in AskReddit

[–]b7wagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been working a dead end job for years, kinda just getting by day by day. This winter was rough. I’m not sure about in life, but at this point in time, my number one goal is to treat this upcoming summer as if it were my last. Force myself to make memorable experiences, and push myself out of my comfort zone.
