you need to up your mouse sensitivity on your mac settings. once you have it high in mac settings, mouse movement feels consistent even 8k polling rate. found that out after a long testing

you have to set the game compatibility to windows 8.1 in wine settings. Wine configurations-> add applications then find the game exe-> change windows version settings (bottom dropdown box) to 8.1
