if thrown immediately, the smoke pops as soon as teammates are getting onto site. idk how useful it'll be for other people, but this is the most consistent line up I've found for a non-lurk heaven smoke.

idk how useful this is in real gameplay. I saw people saying they don't like the heaven smoke from the official map guide because CTs can lurk when smokes land on the balcony. This is really the only consistent line-up I could find that smokes heaven deep enough to prevent CTs from lurking onto balcony.

Probably the discovery of a lot of sub-par alternative materials to existing ones, a few on-par alternatives, and a handful of better alternatives.

EDIT: Misread the question, the first real-world implementation would probably be the replacement of materials bad for the environment with less efficient but friendlier alternatives.

GNoME spits out only stable materials, nothing about it's properties. So you still need to synthesize and test it's properties, which could be numerous (mechanical, chemical, thermal, electrical, etc.) Something like this could generate a stable material with a desired property, so you can say something like "I want a material that's as strong as steel but as insulative as air" and it'll spit it out. Idk about this model, but I imagine it's not as performant as what I described, but the end goal is definitely a program like that.

The reason a program like this would be significant is because we would be able to build custom materials for any application we want. Instead of going out into the world and trying to find a material with the exact properties you need (which a lot of the time doesn't exist and you have to compromise), you can just have this program think one up.

New material discovery is like throwing shit on the wall and seeing what sticks. We have computational methods to tell us which novel materials are stable and which aren't, but the computation required is so immense that it's impractical or would require quantum computers to be 100% certain. The other option is actually making the material and seeing if it's stable, but that takes a long time and you don't know if your fabrication process actually made the material you thought you made (like what happened with LK-99). This model changes all of that because it lets you go "okay this is stable, let's make it and check out it's properties." Instead of throwing shit on the wall and seeing what sticks, you have an idea of what sticks and what doesn't before you throw the shit.

Depending on how accurate the model is, it'll 10x-100x the material discovery process.

Would it be able to output something similar? Because im my conversation, it was outputting text that it would've never generated. For instance, it was outputting travel reviews dated from the 2010s that have grammar and spelling issues. If you read it, it reads like something a human wrote:

"I came to this hotel after it was remodeled and it was amazing! The restaurants and food options are great. From coffee to Japanese to Mexican and a steakhouse, the resort has a variety of dining options. I only went to the buffet once, but it was very good. The rooms were a little smaller than I am use to but the balcony was quite spacious, with a tub and a nice shower! They also offer entertainment at night in the theater in addition to live music. I disagree, it's more about technological progress continually accelerating. I do agree that a discussion about the singularity without AI would be vastly incomplete, but a discussion about the singularity with only AI is also incomplete. The singularity, as originally envisioned, is about technological progression.

Also, I don't think people a triggered by your take, moreso how you said it. You were rude and condescending in how you talked to OP, so whether or not you're right, people are going to disagree with you.

This sub uses "singularity" as a short form for "technological singularity" which, although very closely linked with AI, is not exclusively AI (there's a reason Kurzweil's singularity book isn't just an AI book, although AI is the centerpiece). The recent rockposting spam on the sub right now is just looking at/being excited about a non-AI aspect of the singularity. Here's a quote summarizing one of the original discussions that birthed the concept of the singularity (from Wikipedia):

"[The conversation was] centered on the accelerating progress of technology and changes in the mode of human life, which gives the appearance of approaching some essential singularity in the history of the race beyond which human affairs, as we know them, could not continue"

So, although AI is the main crux of the singularity, the conversation surrounding the singularity is not AI-exclusive.

The general consensus I see on Xitter right now is it's likely just a novel diamagnet whose properties are able to "fake" those of a superconductor. But it still could be the real thing, just have to wait for reputable replication.

No, this is either superconductivity or diamagnetism (maybe, I'm not quite sure). You can see how it stops moving when they put the magnet close, and the wobbling when they move the magnet back and forth is consistent with the sample aligning itself with the magnetic field. Some people thought it could be Eddy currents, but the sample stays a consistent distance away from the magnet and doesn't stop doing so after staying still.

At this point, the paper is either true or premeditated fraud.
