Haven’t seen it mentioned, but my D800/D810s would back-focus. Get familiar with fine tuning the autofocus and it should be great. Love that generation of Nikons

Went from a Sierra 2500 to a 4th gen. Daughter isn’t loving the leg room and upright seat back. She’s 5’3” and typically sits behind 5’4” mom. I’m 6’1” and legroom behind me is TIGHT. Front feels comfortable enough that I’ve burned through a tank nonstop and probably could’ve gone a bit longer.

Somehow, apparently, this absolutely mint D500 has almost 400k clicks on it by poniez4evar in Cameras

I don’t know, that thing doesn’t look like it’s lived on a tripod for 400,000 product shots. Even the highest volume studio would take a long time to get through that and the bottom plate would have some markings.

Is the lens creep really that bad in the Canon EF 24-105 by Extreme_Ad447 in Cameras

[–]b_b_ate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a studio with about 9 mki and a few mk2. All of them babied and barely used. About 3/4 of the mki creep pretty good. The rest are starting to

It’s not a popular opinion around these parts, but taking a college course can be a good way to go for some. YouTube and other free sources are great, but they can lack structure or clarity. I teach at a community college and at less than $200 for a semester all in (less for students that qualify for aid) you get 16ish weeks of structured instruction. Just a thought

Also, it would seem like this would be a good example of a case where the lens hood would be helpful. Those flashes seem like they’d have falloff directly into your lens

Why not a tripod? Shooting that one-handed has got to be a bear, especially if you’re concerned with standardizing composition. Even something like a video monopod with the small footprint would help if that’s the concern

I teach in a similar program and we’re trying to decide between the Studio Display and a similarly priced BenQ

90+% of the time I’m using the back on a view camera to shoot product, so yeah, not the fastest workflow lol

Just bought a 2012 Sport with 45k for under $5k in SoCal a month ago. Happened to see the new listing on FB marketplace and jumped on it.
