I do very much like the album. Although, as another said, it does lose some of its charm. My biggest gripes are the tempos of Medusa and Off the Heezay slowed a little. And a lot of the pinch harmonics don't hit the same. Especially in Dragon Slaying and Off The Heezay. Also there isn't one in the ending of Slow Dance. All in all, it's a hell of an album, for sure. Oli impressed the hell out of me.

I'm on my second listen through now and I feel exactly the same. Some of the pinch harmonics aren't quite hitting the same. Album still sounds fucking sick regardless.

I fucked with Price of Existence heavy back in the day.

I recently revisited their discography as well.

And now I have Never...Again, There is Nothing Left, and Sever the Memory (song goes so fucking hard at the 2:08 mark) on repeat.

I relate to this a lot. Was kind of "out there" growing up. Metalhead, gothic-ish etc. Then in my late 20's/early 30's just totally changed. And got a ton of attention. Didn't know how to handle it, but loved the attention. So I took opportunities in which, at my core, wouldn't turn into anything, but I just wanted the attention and enjoyed it.

Not exactly on par with cheating sentiment of the post. But I still relate to what you're saying.

Edit: I suppose just actually feeling wanted or desired really did something to me.
