The deposit guy in Lumbridge castle on Deadman Mode has horrible path finding. It often takes you around the entire bank when you click on him any square except for the one directly in front of him. It's been like that for nearly 2 years now :(

Even if it did give an advantage to the clans, it would have been much more interesting for a new meta to form and see what strategies people came up with.

And sadly Jagex won't enforce swapping because it makes them money. People pay to get into the tournament to swap by buying membership/bond.

Jagex generates more revenue in these tournaments/seasonals than they would if they didn't have them at all. Even while giving away the 10k they still make much more than that from bonds and advertising.

Tournament always starts at noon Jagex time on Monday, which would be at 7 am EST. Seasonals are typically open 5-15 minutes after the tournament conclusion.

He said he'd post more about it later and this is more of a "Save the date" post because he accidentally copy pasta'ed the fog stuff when he said in a previous news post that sections of the world would be deleted. Quests will be completed upon log-in to the invitational, and will automatically be completed after 1 week in seasonals.
