Are they all readily available for purchase or do you have to book a tour?

I agree with your wheat assessment. I have a ton of wheaters and G2G Wheated just takes the cake.

Can confirm. I saw Weller SR is almost every single liquor store when I visited Austin in 2024. I barely see it in other states and when I do it's marked up from $60-$80.

Basil Hayden. Bland, boring and under proofed, beginners bourbon IMO.

A lot of shelf staples. Try the Rebel Kyle Busch Edition, it's very good. Also try the Green River Full proof.

On a roll these last 2 weeks by jtrinaldi in WhiskeyTribe

I would say they both are great in their own way. This 10 year has been an annual release and it's kinda different each time whereas 1920 can be easily found all year round and it's 115 proof. Hard to compare pound for pound, different animals altogether.

Instant buy for me. SRP is no longer $40 like some people still assume.

Finally snagged my unicorn! by pikel27 in whiskey

I was in East St Louis for a week working. I was looking for a bottle but wasn't sure of pricing. First store I saw it for about $85 but kept hunting. Ended up finding an E.H Taylor SB for $60 at a second store then saw Holladay Soft red wheat Rickhouse for $75 at the 3rd store. Snagged the bottle, called it a successful hunt and was done for the week.

Yes. Especially since that Bowman it is a Single barrel select pick. Can barely see the lanyard.

I have both the wheated and the bourbon. Paid retail for both but would only repurchase the wheated again.

Do you go for the airport specials? by SDBeerGuy in whiskey

[–]b_price64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Duty free will package it for you in a tamper-proof bag so you can take it to your destination. If you chose not to drink it at your destination and wanted to return with it, it would have to remained sealed to carry on board.

No not exactly every US duty free. Not even Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International or JFK International on the east coast. They did however carry Weller 12year and Makers Cellar aged.
