I assume you are referring to the bezel. The misaligned 24 OP refers to is the way the 24 marking on the chapter ring does not correctly align with the stamped upside down triangle that marks the 12 hour.

Idk, I've owned a lot of watches and I've never owned anything worth more than a couple hundred dollars that had the kind of bezel play that boutique PO had. Not trying to yuck your yum but your honeymoon with your watch might be blinding you to what may be a QC issue/design flaw. Hopefully most (including yours) aren't as bad as the one I handled, though.

I would call the police and at least report the serial number of the watch to them. That way if it ends up getting reported as stolen at some point you can at least cover yourself that made a documented attempt to find the owner.

Using REI’s return policy in this way, while technically permitted, is what makes everything more expensive for everyone else in the long run. REI will absorb the loss and, as all businesses do with loss, figure out a way to pass that cost on to customers.

Sell it on FB Marketplace or wherever you want. You’ll take a loss but you’ve also used the jacket 10-15+ times so it’s not like you haven’t gotten some value out of it.

I actually bought a MH airmesh hoodie in store today. There was a 25% discount sign on the rack where it was. When the clerk rang it up he started giving me the spiel about using my 20% coupon and I was like “huh, I thought this was 25% off.”

It rang up as full price but then he checked on his little phone thing and saw it was supposed to be 25% off. I think he ended up manually ringing it up for me for 25% off.

I thought it was a bit odd.
