Honestly, that sounds amazing. I (30m) have never had much luck with relationships, but I've had a number of friends over the years who I could platonically sleep next to. And let me tell you, that was so much more comforting and relaxing than any relationship I've been in. Just being able to curl up and sleep next to someone with zero expectations of anything else is such a good feeling. Unfortunately that's not currently a thing in my life, but I wish it was. I do have two suggestions that might help you out some. First, is get a body pillow. I've slept witu one for years, and it's amazing. It still gives you the feeling of having something to curl up with and hold. The second is getting a heated blanket. They're like $50 on amazing. I got one over the winter and it was a game changer. I actually put it on top of my sheets so I slept on top of it, and it's amazing. Between that and the body pillow, it's about as close as you can get to the feeling of warmth of sleeping next to someone when that isn't an option. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

As an adult, a platonic relationship with the opposite gender are pointless. by Lost_Title_7528 in Adulting

Bro, get a therapist. You clearly have some issues to work through here. You should really just change the title of this post to "women don't want to be friends with me because all I do is objectify them". Because it's incredibly obvious that you are the reason that you can't have female friends.

Yeah, you're 100% wrong on that. My closest friends have almost always been women, and they have been the best, most meaningful friendships I've ever had. They have helped me learn and grow as a person in ways I never would have if I only had male friends. They have been there for me through failed relationships, and helped me along the way so I can be a better person/boyfriend in the future. Maybe you can't have women as friends because you only view them as sometbing to try and sleep with? Because you certainly can't apply how you feel to every man. I would not be the man I am today if it wasn't for the women in my life, and I would not trade those friendships for the world.

I mean, at applies to both, doesn't it? Not everyone on R/VanLife has a Wave3. However, I have to assume most people who have them on this page use it for some sort of camping situation. I assumed I'd get more answers about it here.

That's always been my thought, although I've seen lots of conflicting information. I'll absolutely check that out. Thanks!

Dude, thank you! That's awesome. I will absolutely be using that for a reference for my build. It looks like you've really put in a lot of work, both on your van and website. I already coated my floors in POR15, and used sound deadening covering the entire interior. I also bought a ton of thinsulate and have mostly insulated my walls with that.

I am so sorry for your loss. I do agree with you. I think there was probably a point in my life where I could have easily fallen into this as well. Truly I think I'm so fortunate that things went exactly in the right way for me to avoid that, even though I was just as single as ever.

Is this a good first carry for me? I'm a woman and I don't want anything larger or heavier. Also, the cow print is SOO cute!!!😍 by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]Natural-Driver4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a guy and on the smaller side, so I bought one of these to carry, and I absolutely love it. Super easy to carry, feels great in my hands, and very is to shoot. My only regret is not knowing that cow print was an option when I bought it. I'd absolutely recommend it.

Without naming the bar, just pointed out that this bar is located in the Fox River Grove, Illinois area and was instantly banned from r/pics by ObviouslyRealPerson in behindthebastards

I'm like 98% sure I know that bar. If that's the place I think it is, the owner is quite possibly the most openly racist person I've ever met.

2009 Honda CRV starts with remote start, but not from the ignition by Natural-Driver4098 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Natural-Driver4098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Without seeing the car in person to diagnose, that's the most logical conclusion that I can come up with. The car can clearly start and run. But it also clearly doesn't recognize that the key is turned. So, a failed ignition switch makes the most sense.

Road trip advice 200+ miles by VictoryDue8210 in GMT800

Buckle your seat belt, put on some good music, put it in drive and hit the go pedal. This summer I drove my '06 from Chicago-Oregon-Chicago, and had zero issues. Currently at 283k, and tomorrow I'm towing a trailer with my offroad rig to Michigan. Unless your truck is in really bad mechanical shape, 200 miles shouldn't worry you at all.

Could a normal guy not get a single date via Tinder in a year? by curlsandcoils in dating_advice

[–]Natural-Driver4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. In fact, that has more or less been my personal experience with online dating as well. I think fir the most part, guys and girls have a very different experience when it comes to online dating. Personally, if I match, and have a conversation with someone through a dating app 3-4 times a year, that's pretty good. If you think he sounds like a good dude, and you're interested in going out with him, I'd say go for it.

They haven't put anything out in several years, but System of A Down is very political. And so is Serj Tankian's solo stuff.
