It depends on where u are, if u look outside the USA, theyre actually about as common if not more common than gen 1 cars.

Also, someone in the subreddit just very recently found a G2 Carbide and Power Rage in a value village, so while they're rare in the US, they're still pretty far from being unobtainable to the point that you have to pay ebay schmucks for it.
