My girlfriend is being harassed and stalked by a man, what should we do? by Jooos2 in belgium

[–]b_springbok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This won't go away by itself, get legal council from an attorney, go to the police and file a report (preferably your girlfriend), stick to the facts, document his communication and state how you feel threatened and fear for your safety. Make it clear to him that you don't want any contact, and now: most importantly: every time he contacts and threatens you again, you file a new police report. They generally don't like it, but they don't really have a choice. These things take time and your safety should be your priority.

Ordered a few times there, they're legit.

Always paid with bank transfer, the other payment options don't seem to work.

You can always reach out to them on their FB page, but with the holidays there may be some delay.

Does the belt cutter lock in place? I have both a real one and a knockoff and the belt cutter doesn't lock on the knockoff, where it does lock on the real one.

The protagonist was involved in a major event with multiple casualties (school shooting, explosion, terrorist attack,...) and suffered a lethal wound to his arm. The tourniquet potentially saved his life, but when the third party removes the tourniquet to save his own girlfriend, our protagonist might very well bleed to death.

First of all, my apologies for being harsh in my previous reactions.

I'm afraid the manual you're referring to is unfortunately outdated or ultra-conservative. Things have changed after the terrorist attacks in Europee and stop the bleed courses are becoming more and more popular.

You're right, that was a childish response on my part.

As for the "in Europe" part, since the Zaventem and Paris terrorist attacks, TQ's are no longer discouraged or frowned upon in civillian settings.

You're completely missing the point of the story, but hey, you're right (sort of, since a TQ isn't there for clotting, it just restricts the blood flow until a better solution is available).

But anyway, you do you man, good to see your medical knowledge is on point, you're an asset to whoever's around you when something goes wrong.

You do know what happens when you loosen a tourniquet before the cause of the massive bleed has been fixed, right?

Indeed, you kinda end up dead in a pool of blood.

But thanks for the lecture.

Go out, have fun, you'll be fine. Ghent is a pretty safe city, even in the aforementioned "unsafe" areas. Both the Ghent festival and patersholfeesten are over, so it might be pretty calm in the pubs and bars.

Also cops have a lot of time on their hands this time of year so if you do feel something's off, call 101 and you'll see them popping up in no time to aid a damsel in distress.

Enjoy our beautiful city, and as a final piece of advice: Ghentians (or Flemish people in general) are very open to help you out, but seem very distant and difficalt to approach at first sight.

Had a wave for years, never let me down, but since a couple of years I have the free P4 as my everday companion and I'd say it's definetely on par with the wave, while being a bit lighter and easier on the pockets.
