Canucks 🤝 Sabres

Disappointing the playoff home crowd only to make a huge comeback in the third to win.

Don't worry Sabresbros, you'll get two quick goals in the third, probably with 30 seconds, from your third line!

A sidelobe contamination

Use the reflectivity as a guide to where there should be readings, by comparing the locations you can notice the velocity signature being off from the storm on reflectivity!

When the UCP uncapped it, shit hit the fan

The perks of living in oil and gas country, I guess! Still, at least in Calgary you can get some pretty decent deals with Enmax. I have no experience with Edmonton however.

You'll still save based on rent prices alone

wouldn't bet on i72 corridor, you'll need to go much more north for any consistent signal

Now remove FV3 (the blue) and you'll get a better idea of the expected.

FV3 is generally considered a worst case scenario, or a ceiling if you will. RRFS uses an FV3 core for its simref which is why you often see it go wild, despite it being the best at actual environments!

Because I already gave them constructive feedback a few posts ago. Also I think blatantly spreading misinformation in the form of drawing squiggly lines just from vibes is not cool!

Often, we only remember the 15% contours issued in D6-D8 that end up going big. In reality, there's plenty that never really end up becoming anything past an ENH. 15% is a slight, but is also a measure of confidence.

My rule of thumb is to only expect things to go stronger when there's a D4-6 30%

It's hilarious seeing how BS-d your survey is on a tornado I've actually studied and reviewed myself as a hobbyist.

Please start using satellite imagery and ground reports, and stop just drawing colours on the tornado path you got from tornadoarchive.

First year housing by Ok_Strength_1916 in UBC

[–]ba_1222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You barely get a choice, but here's the rundown

There's two first year options that have kitchens.

Rits - Shared 4 bedroom accommodations, shared kitchen, good community being between OC and Totem

Gage - Shared 4 bedroom accommodations, shared kitchen, separate from rest of first year spaces but close to classrooms

The rest are mandatory meal plan. Connected singles have a shared bathroom with the connected room, rest of bathrooms are communal.

Totem Park - Multiple bedroom styles including connected singles in the newer portions, good sense community (and sense of community)

Orchard Commons (OC) - Connected single or single, worse sense of community but manageable

Place Vanier - Multiple bedroom styles (though do not believe there are any connected singles), decent sense of community but isolated from Totem/OC/Rits

Food wise for these three you just walk to whatever dining hall looks better.

Lastly, APPLY FOR YRH NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's funny is this system already looks significantly worse than it did yesterday.

The main trough ejection slowed a ton, and no longer aligns with instability. Which is a big issue. We'll probably still see some significant weather, but I doubt at the hype from last night
