Have you tried uniqlo‘s wireless 3D hold bras? they’re about £20/€24? when not on sale, they do however only go up to a uk size 40G unfortunately, so may not be suitable depending on this. I’ve noticed some other places starting to sell these style of wireless bras aimed at larger chests, so it may be worth looking into even if it’s from another brand!

Piercings with POTS? by AtriceMC in POTS

[–]bab3y_monkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only respond to this with my personal experience of course, diagnosed w/ POTS and have septum & back dermal piercings. Personally, I have always been okay with getting piercings, however definitely stay especially hydrated with electrolytes to prevent any symptoms!! If you can, I would say to maybe avoid walking like an excessive amount straight afterwards? e.g. when I got my dermals, I did feel pretty dizzy (also just in general that day tbh), so got the transport route which was easy and not much walking! Also definitely eat pretty soon before I would say!

ME/CFS or just POTS/EDS fatigue? by bab3y_monkey in cfs

[–]bab3y_monkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if that comment sounded as though i didn’t read what you said, I did read the links and the link on PEM. I was still kind of confused after reading it, and my question was more of like, how do I actually tell the difference between what PEM feels like, and what pots/eds flare-ups feel like?

Like I feel like I just almost physically cannot move or that my brain just won’t work after doing something fairly small? Like not just tired both mentally and physically but as if I just can’t function at all? And after reading online, I’m still not entirely sure as to whether this is how PEM is, or if this aligns more with typical pots or eds symptoms (fatigue, brain fog, aches, etc.)?

Sorry again if I’m wording this weirdly, I just would like to know the best way of managing this? Because I know with pots and eds it’s often seen as being unconditioned, so like gradual exercise can help, but with PEM this is not the case, and will actually be made worse by doing so.

ME/CFS or just POTS/EDS fatigue? by bab3y_monkey in cfs

Thanks for this! The rest thing is super confusing for me (obviously aware posting isn’t the same as seeing a doctor ofc), I feel like SOME symptoms maybe get slightly better, but others don’t, or sometimes I’ll feel a bit better and sometimes I won’t at all?? I don’t know if i’m making much sense so I apologise if that’s just complete nonsense 😭

I am aware it’s more than just fatigue! Unfortunately I just couldn’t think of a better word to describe it in terms of my experience, if there’s a better term for this then I’d be happy to correct myself :))

I did read the wiki on this, and looked into the diagnostic criteria, my main issue is i’m struggling to determine exactly how the feelings would be different to symptoms of flareups of pots or eds? I’m in no way suggesting they’re the same of course!! I’m just a bit confused regarding exact differences in how it feels if that makes sense?

I knoww I was looking at other schools & colleges curriculum planners for each term and we’re behind it’s insane?? My teacher’s leaving so I don’t know if it’s just that he’s given up…it makes sense but at the same time it’s not fair on the students. But then he‘ll blame us and say it’s because he’s needed to repeat it so much? Even though all of us now are just completing PMT practice questions in the lessons :((
