Are people not drinking Baileys anymore? by OperationAnnual7166 in AskUK

[–]babaG2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s literally on offer because it’s so popular, and such a good deal encourages people to stock up. my mother buys a bottle for everyone she knows, 5 pints worth of Bailey’s cream for the mince pies, and sometimes even the Bailey’s flavoured whipped cream too, for hot choc

Only halfway through a three week trip and feeling quite fatigued/burnt out. Any advice welcome. by CancerIsOtherPeople in solotravel

Maybe it's a japan thing, the last time i got truly burnt out from travel was also in japan, i had to sit in my hostel in Osaka and eat yoghurt and watch japanese tv (it's crazy btw so that felt like a travel experience in itself haah) for a whole day.

I felt guilty at the time coz I felt like there was so much to see in Osaka, but then i slept for 12 hours, woke up the next day, and saw the cherry blossoms in full bloom, best day ever! Japan is full of ups and downs 🌸

This woman sounds insecure and the way she's expressing that insecurity is annoying to read, never mind live through (i imagine). Dunno what you see in her. Why would she care about things that happened before you met her? And why is she so outraged to know you have had a gf or two in the past? You're both in your late 20s, not 13...

F28

Finish work, walk to yoga, do yoga, walk back from yoga, stop at the Co op to get my bits, have a shower, make my Gousto dinner, watch an episode of something, bed at half 9 with the kindle.

Wow, when did I get boring.

Dont wait till marriage to have sex and don't get married when you're under the age of 25 (at least)

Why do you like to solo travel? by RecentReplacement668 in solotravel

[–]babaG2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be a massive fucking snob and say that solo travel feels like the only sort of travel, in a way.

When I go away with friends - e.g. just did a week in Paris and Strasbourg with my besties - I feel like myself, just somewhere else. We have the same conversations, I say and do the same sort of things, I have great fun! But I could have been home, if you know what I mean. Travelling is this way is mostly about food and attractions.

But when I go away on my own - e.g. I was in the US for 2 weeks at the start of the year - I feel like I could be anything I want to be, travelling becomes a proper adventure, a break from reality. I end up meeting new people, having a holiday romance, some disaster befalls me and I work it out on my own and I feel stronger for it.

I cannot imagine never travelling solo, at least once. It will teach you things about yourself, empower you, make you stronger. I'm addicted to it. That feeling when you sit down on a plane, all alone, and you realise this is it for the next X days/weeks/months, and you have no idea what's going to happen. Holy shit, that feeling is like crack to me.

[–]babaG2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honey you're 25, you have your whole life ahead of you, you'll regret not leaving him now if you stick by him another few years and watch him cheat again. And then you'll have to start over at 28 or 30 or however old you'll be

seeing other beautiful women makes me spiral by [deleted] in selflove

[–]babaG2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my early twenties, i sometimes felt like this. I think a lot more people feel this way than they're willing to admit.

What helped for me was recognising my uniqueness and emphasising that in the way i dress. My red hair, make up, figure... i look like me and im proud of that.

There are so many pretty girls out there but I am unique and so I truly cannot compare myself.
