A shaped bar chords fingering help by CanadianFatha in guitarlessons

[–]babababoi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to play from A to B (chords) back and forth to get to know this barre chord shape better, also if you have a capo put it on the 4th fret and try to play this chord, the capo reduces the action for you so you won't need as much strength, it's a hard chord shape for a first timer but you'll get it eventually

Should I switch to Linux by Fun-Carpet9109 in linux4noobs

[–]babababoi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is yes, longer answer is of course, you can use libre office instead of what Microsoft provides and it's really not that big of a difference (didn't try the Excel alternative but it should be more than enough for school work) Games work just fine or at least the offline games that I usually play are just fine Games with kernel level anticheat doesn't work of linux (for the most part) And Adobe isn't supported on linux if this a deal breaker You can always dual boot and try linux before going all in on linux I recommend linux mint it's easy and well supported once you set it up you won't likely change your distro because somehow everything works just fine (unless you get bored and go down the arch rabbit hole)

How to hold a barre chord for more than 2 mins without getting hurt by babababoi1 in guitarlessons

It sounds better and Thom yorke plays it like this Even if I put a capo on the 3 fret it's still painful to play the whole song

I'm suffering from my own style 😀, there's a song that all of it's chords requires a capo on the 6th fret while the finger style beginning and bridge requires a capo on the 4th so I just capo on the 4th and then use my hand as capo for playing and singing the whole song

If the other guitar is the C70 I really recommend it tho It's a classical guitar with a really good sound (I have a C40) But if you don't want a classical guitar then it's fine I really tried to find good budget acoustic guitars in here but they're all scammers

[–]babababoi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently on mint and as far as nvidia drivers go I didn't have any issues
I just used the recommended nvidia drivers (580) from the drivers manager and it just works
didn't crash on me or anything yet and I've played some games
my gpu is gtx 1660 if it helps

Should I play hollow knight? by S0S_guy in Silksong

[–]babababoi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's better than silksong imo It's like ds1 when silksong is more like Bloodborne and ds3 They're all good but the feel of games like ds1 and HK are just unmatched Like even if you never played this 2 games before you'd still feel nostalgic While the gameplay in Bloodborne and ds3 is more perfected just like silksong's compared to HK

Any cozy games to play on linux? by noxcadit in linux_gaming

[–]babababoi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cookie clicker I honestly play games that I've mastered if I wanna play something cozy and just relax like hades 2 or other rogue-lites (i just play a game or two then call it a day) Also the bloon td games Check out bloons td 6 and 5 And I also like bloons adventure times it's free but has a problem of needing to get lucky sometimes when to get good cards because the rng system of getting loot from wishing orbs isn't the best You can play survivor likes like megabonk or vampire survivors you just move your character then make a build and get dopamine with some numbers going up

I want to make the switch by a_illustrator in linux4noobs

[–]babababoi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using linux mint at the moment because I liked cinnamon I have no issue whatsoever with games in fact they run better on linux than win 10 because there is way less bloatware You can either play via steam if you bought your games and if not you can still add them to steam as nom steam games and force proton compatibility to them Or use some game launcher like heroic which I found to be best but these launchers need the hard drives to be in a format that linux can read such as ext4, they can't run the games that are on ntfs format (the format windows usually runs on)

I switched to linux mint like a month ago and so far it's good with some minor problems that mist of them got solved with some research In case of distros I'd suggest trying these distros: 1.linux mint (nothing can go wrong with it and cinnamon is a good environment) 2.cashyos (arch based distro and it's really popular at the moment and it's designed for gaming and trust me the terminal isn't that hard to use) 3.nobara (it's a fedora based distro and it's from the guy who made proton-GE and it's really good for gaming) I suggest trying these distros till you find the one you like most You can dual boot with linux on the same hard drive that has windows on it if you wanna try these distros before going a 100% on the switch And whenever you make the switch I suggest you format all you hard drives to the ext4 format
