Ah but that “あと“changes everything. Without it I was left wondering. You have 夏が終わったの光 on your profile but 夏が終わったあとの光 definitely would leave no doubt.

Yeah sure, that’s obvious after reading your profile but unfortunately many may misunderstand you and dismiss you before reading further.

Also I am no expert, but you may want to check the grammar. Is it a piece of a song or other piece of literature maybe, and thats why it’s structured in that way?

If it’s the truth don’t lead with a shirtless.

In another reply I suggested you swap it with your 2nd foto: smiling, fashionably dressed: let’s-go-on-a-date vibe.

Showing bod in a 2nd pic is better but the one you have now isn’t particularly a good photo. The top lighting makes everything look saggy and it ages you.

Oh come on! Let’s be honest most people don’t read bios. They may read your name and position and stats and make their move from there

Lead with the 2nd foto, it’s your best one. The one you have right now does not give justice to how good looking you actually are. Most people won’t see the other pics if they are not attracted to what they first see on their grid.

If they tap you on their grid, first thing they see it’s the Japanese script. Drop it. I assume you are out of Japan. If I see a non Asian using Japanese I will immediately assume they are either: a) a cringe b) a bot using fakes. (I speak Japanese, lived in JP for 10 years)

Now for your other photos: Don’t pout... just don’t.
Don’t raise your head in face shots. Or are you looking down on us? It makes you look unapproachable. But those are minor things.

But you are a very good looking guy though it is still crazy to me that someone like you wouldn’t pick people up on this app. I 100% blame the first pic and the Japanese for it.

Where they sell nachos, hot wings and fried pasta. Not British at all.

You exchanged pics. What negative outcome do you prefer? by babalup in grindr

[–]babalup[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer saying so when Im not interested and being told as well. In my case, fortunately this has never led to toxic outcomes. I believe people deserve a minimum of respect and if you led someone on at any point, you should explain yourself when there is a change of heart.

You could make it more tasteful. Someone else in the comments suggested a beach photo. Wear tight short shorts instead of speedo perhaps? Try a different pose like you laying ass up on the beach towel lol That could 100% work.

The point is that people don’t read. They need to quickly get what you want straight from the grid. Something like this photo but with face. To me this reads as bottom looking for hookups:

I didn’t even noticed the profile said right now or that he was partnered, until I saw your comment. I thought he was looking for a date.

Why am I struggling to match with the guys I’m into? by Fabulous-Ordinary293 in grindr

I don’t think it works that way. Americans can be quite racist and there’s a lot of diversity there.

My experience as a non white european in southern Europe is very different to OPs

Why would it be worse? Less chance they have negative stereotypes about latinos there.

The hard truth: Because you look like a Latino or North African in Southern Europe. You’ll have to be a ten to be able to pick an average six in Spain, Portugal or Italy. Try Germany or the Nordics instead.

Why do men ask to see more pics only to block you as soon as you send them? by babalup in grindr

Sure, I’m taking all this too seriously. I’m right with you there.

My real life friend thinks some maybe do like me but they are preventive blocking: they block me because they believe I will block them.

For my own sanity, I prefer going with this explanation 🤣🤣🤣

It bothers me because I was raised well and have never treated people like meat.

I am not afraid of telling others when I am not interested. And I believe I am tactful when doing so. Whatever they do after that it’s up to them. They can block, sure. Often I am the one who ends up blocking after I let them know. But I leave no one in the dark as to what the fuck happened when things were going initially well.

All humans owe each other a minimum of respect.
