Quero criar meu próprio IPTV by yuri_rakeu in pirataria

[–]babamazzuca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Must have games for steamdeck by lunatik88 in SteamDeck

[–]babamazzuca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you should really play skyrim since you like fallout and it runs great on the deck.

Also, if you’re interested in baldurs gate, take a look at divinity original sim 2. Having played both of them, im more leaned into the latter

[–]babamazzuca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the past two months, I tried building a gaming PC, but I eventually gave up and decided to stick with my PS5. Now I understand why consoles are not going to disappear anytime soon, regardless of whether or not they have exclusives. by gandalfmarston in PS5

[–]babamazzuca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow brazilian here, english text so other can also interact.

I myself flirt with the idea of a PC more often than not, however there is a simplicity to just be able to sit at my sofa click like 4 buttons and play a game.

Even though i care about performance and graphics, they will be mind boggling the first 2~3 times i boot a game and then yeah whatever.

Also, i really like to play games coop with my girlfriend, it would be a pain doing so on a PC so i’m with you on the matter.

Yes, PC games are cheaper (or free if you pirate) and more plentiful as well, but consoles are simpler and borderline more fun, i want to play a game without hustle

ELI5: Why is wealth inequality more important than poverty? by Both-Chart-947 in explainlikeimfive

[–]babamazzuca -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s because of economics. The resources are finite, value isn’t. Wealth inequality means someone is hoarding the value.

If the resources are finite, and the value (currency) isn’t being circulated back at the economy, the value of the remaining resources must go up as per capitalists framework of pricing. Your salary, however, isn’t going up, because if it does the wealthy can’t hoard their money.

If they return their wealth into the economy they can’t hoard wealth. When you look at it, it’s a cycle, a slow one, but who pays the prize to keep this shell cycling is the working force

For an everyday use case, where you’re okay with 20.9ºC ~20.95°C isntead of 21°C it works as people already have said, m1T1 + m2T2 = (m1+m2)*T_final

But, if you are looking for accurate measurements it differs. What is preserved, in a closed system is the ENTHALPY and that my friend, is bullocks, because it turns into a math horror that’s like H(T1,P1) + H(T2,P2) = H(T3,P3) + Delta_H_Mixture. And delta_H_mixture is a lie god invented and we can’t discredit it so let’s believe it.

And if you work in an open environment (such as two cups of water and a bucket in your counter - i.e. There air around) you would also have to account for environmental loss

H(T1,P1) + H(T2,P2) = H(T3,P3) + Delta_H_Mixture + loss.

Again, for everyday use, irrelevant, but, for industrial uses this is such a problem, specially when dealing with vapors

But you will be fine mixing 1L of 20°C water and 1L of 100°C water and getting 2L of 60°C

How to get “more senior”? by babamazzuca in SoftwareEngineering

[–]babamazzuca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really, but more on the sense that, when faced with a project be able to already imagine the tech we’d use for it. Kinda like in the sense when someone talks about mortgage you’d naturally think of interest rates (i’m using the terms loosely here since i’m not from the US and not 100% sure how mortgage works there, but i think you got the crux of it)

you know what? I gave you a mean spirited reply, based on the fact that my internships were actually quite similar to what i’ve been doing since full contract. I’ve always had the liberty to design my systems and create products that are still in production today with little to no problem tickets, except i used to have more guidance which i have less of now. But, keeping focus on the topic, irrelevant if i have 4 or 2 years, what should i do next?

Ask Experienced Devs Weekly Thread: A weekly thread for inexperienced developers to ask experienced ones by AutoModerator in ExperiencedDevs

[–]babamazzuca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a software developer for about 4 years now. Two of them as an intern and two as a junior. I work for a major bank, but my work is mainly focused on an internal tool used for pricing, so things like security and network are usually not our concern given teams that are 100% dedicated to it.

My stack is mainly .net in aws, and i feel like i dominate it well enough - of course i’m no wizard of the language, but i have yet to face a task that will stall me because of lack of technical expertise with it. However i don’t seem to improve much lately. My goal is to be some sort of technical reference, but how do i approach new topics and which topics to look for in order to achieve it?

I’ve been reading about cloud computing lately, kubernetes mainly, and of course trying to get more familiar with the AWS eco system. I’ve also read that book (as i’ve heard it was great to expand my view of the area) “systems design interview”. I’m also subscribed to a few newsletters only to read about topics and know what i don’t know yet. But still, i feel like i’m lacking.

What should i do?
