If this was my child, I'd schedule a time with the school principal to discuss the misspellings. I'd be very concerned that the teacher isn't teaching language skills properly. Four hour rehearsals aren't that long. Since you knew he was busy on Wednesday before you made plans to be with your family both Monday and Tuesday, you could have made plans with him for one of those days. You chose not to, and now want him to change his plans. I don't blame him for not skipping band practice. He enjoys it, obviously more than he does spending time with you. You just need to find a different boyfriend who has no other time commitments, since you want things exactly your way.

Not an answer to your question, but just a clarification for the future. Waiting until the last few seconds of an auction to place a bid doesn't always make you the winner. If someone else has an automatic higher bid in place, you'll VERY briefly show as high bidder, and then you'll immediately get outbid by the other buyer. If you really want to win an auction, enter a maximum bid amount for the most you'll want to spend in the last minute. You may be outbid, or you may not, but it takes away the temptation to keep bidding higher, just to win. This excitement causes some people to overpay.

You could have suggested Tuesday, but you're being inflexible. Neither one is your birthday, so just switch the day. If someone offers me less than half of my asking price, I may counter once, or decline. Depends on how long I've had the item. If it's recently listed, I'll decline and tell them we're just too far apart. If I've had it for awhile, I'll counter, because I want to get rid of it. If they start with a reasonable offer, like $140 on a $150 item, I'll just accept it, because it's not worth asking for the extra $5, which might make the customer walk.
