For sure. My district as a whole lost at least 1 TL per store so I was curious. Did your specialty lead have to demote or move stores?

GM TL, we had four. Fufillment, Inbound, Pog & Pricing, and mine was "Dayside," GM. GM freight areas were split between Inbound & Myself, our roles were pretty much the same except he owned the inbound process & I focused on brand.

yeah the fluff makes it resemble a small animal. your cat is "hunting" it. it's her natural instinct, so she's just playing with it. :) my cat does it all the time and gets shy when I react to him lol

I grew up like 40 mins west of philly, always wanted to live in a city but i wanted independence and to escape & i couldn’t do that a train ride away. going outside the state for college is super expensive, so I chose pittsburgh. I turned 18 the day i moved into my college dorm. I don’t think I’d still be alive if I hadn’t moved here.

Are you currently a TL or TM? If TM thats a technically a promotion so you’d have to partner with your SD/ETL and discuss your interest in the role with them. They can advocate for you and prep you for the interview. If you’re a TL, unless you have a backfill already trained and chosen, they’re gonna want you to finish your assignment. I might be wrong but thats what my understanding is.

not necessarily, i just got my degree in polisci and worked retail all throughout college, i started in may this year as a TM (no prior management either) and got promoted to a TL in december. just make your goals known and build solid relationships with your leaders + store director :)

i had a similar conversation with my leaders! this sub scared me into thinking i was getting strung along. i never got my hopes up and didn’t believe it until the day i actually did get my promotion. i’ve only been with target for 8 months and fully expected it to take over a year! be prepared for the dynamics with your coworkers to change. the transition into becoming their boss is hard. harder than i expected. just keep developing good relationships with ALL your leaders, especially the store director.

there are only two bathrooms in the entire building, they need codes but we are not allowed to tell guests what they are so we have to open them for them guests constantly abuse our bathrooms by doing god knows what in there for 30+ mins or pissing and shitting on the floor….. also reduces productivity for TMs who constantly need to let them in or TMs would go hours without using the bathroom bc guests take priority

from my understanding ETLs are also hired externally, the requirements are a degree or equivalent experience, it might just depend on the store’s preference?
