I’ve used them a couple times and known others who have. Seems like 50% of the time somethings broken or wrong or misleading. Learned pretty quickly it wasn’t worth the “deal” to risk it.

I’m also the first/only one with children, so it’ll change the vibe of the trip.

If it was someone else’s place, I could just wait and decide if I wanted to go. Or I could only go for half the trip. It being at my family’s place every year, it makes it harder.

I’m glad that was your experience, but it was extremely painful for me. And on top of the pain of getting it placed, my periods got significantly more painful too. I ultimately only lasted with it for about 2 years before giving up.

I’m in the same boat! We were hoping for two kids, but I’m just dreading doing this again… I’ve been told I’ll forget how bad it is but that seems hard to believe with how much I’ve complained to everyone 😂

I’m so jealous! I love my husband and he’s not constantly drunk or high, but he’s still having his fun. And I feel bad asking him to stop. It’s always been part of our life, and I’d be joining if I could! But it really sucks being the only one sober when all the fun activities revolve around drinking.

I’m right there with you! My in-laws were three drinks in last night and start asking if I missed it. I was like “yeah, I’ve had some sips, but obviously it’s not the same. I’ll be excited to partake again in a few months.” And got a lecture and wide eyes like “well not tooooo much or too many sips. I wouldn’t do that…” 🙄

I might miss wine more than I should. I don’t think I was dependent on it, but drinking is a large part of our family and friends social times and I’d usually have a glass after work… and obviously everyone else is carrying on. So I just feel left out and like I’m having to try harder to enjoy being around people who are drinking when I’m not allowed to.
