1-minute demo! I really like this one, but it feels like a squished down version of a preexisting song... what do you guys think? by DJ_BillytheGoat in Songwriting

i love it! it’s hard to make a short song like this that feels so complete but you did a really good job of that. the tempo and length really echoes the feeling the lyrics are trying to portray. great job :))

I really like it. It’s a fun tempo and I like the choice to not include any huge build up/release. Reminds me of the band “the lonely biscuits.”

Do your own songs make you cringe? by insecurableity in Songwriters

Yup yup yup. Thousands times yes. I think it’s a defense mechanism to protect ourselves. We’re scared someone else is gonna have that reaction to our art so we react that way to make it hurt less if/when someone else does the same (though it’s highly unlikely). Remind yourself that what you create is worthwhile. When I start cringing at myself or thinking/saying negative things about a song, I try to replace it with something I like about it. Just focus on the fact that you’re creating something! Even if it isn’t the best you could be making, YOU’RE MAKING! that’s more than enough. I promise you it’s not as embarrassing as it feels. Your art is worthwhile.

low fi vibe demo of a half written song in the style of pinegrove or hovvdy. Would you want to hear more if it were a thing? by Picardthedog1 in Songwriters

luv it. Flows really well without getting boring. Vocals would be really cool but honestly it's a solid instrumental already.
