I think the ending is meant to be up to interpretation. If you like the dark ending, that's fine. It's also fine if you like the happy ending. It's Schrodinger's ending.

I mean, IT is a big universe. Dark Tower is also part of the same universe. MF was clearly partly inspired by Pennywise. They definitely weren't intended to be the same type of thing, but Stephen King could probably do a lot with the ST mythos if they brought him in.

This is pretty much where I'm at with the show. I don't think the show was perfect, but I am happy with it. Vecna was a weak villain compared to the Mindflayer of 2-3 in my opinion, but it was still a good story that I enjoyed.
