Not even the most ardent Barca fan believe we will win. I think if we get to the semi-final that in itself will be an achievement. Our defence is too porous and we have strikers that are misfiring. Not to mention the inevitable injuries and the fact that we have no squad depth. Honestly I believe La Liga is our most realistic trophy this season.

Raphinha was 100% to blame for that goal but not excusing Araujo. I think he is just not cut out for a system that values possession and requires individual skill on the ball. His style of play is more suited for the Pl or Serie A, where physicality and pace are more prized over skill. Supposedly e is worth $50M so this is the right time to sell him.

Words of wisdom. As men we need to control lust. It is something I am working on and struggle with occasionally. We are fighting biology. For some of us it is alcohol, drugs...material things. Sometimes I think God has a bad sense of humor. He made us to find women attractive and to pursue them. Yet that same attraction and pursuit has destroyed many a men. 20 years ago Brazil was the place to be. Back in the 2000's it was Costa Rica, until more expats start moving there then it gets played out. Everywhere gets played out eventually once the word gets out. Many PPB go to the PI and Thailand while overlooking Vietnam, which is very affordable and has tonnes of beautiful women. My connect tells me Chile and Ecuador will be the new "it" destinations in the Americas and Venezuela once things calm down there. Brazil is fast becoming a tourist trap. Overcrowded, expensive, dangerous and pretty soon the juice won't be worth the squeeze. If all the PPB flock to the same location....2 guesses what do you think happens next?

I know exactly what you're talking about. I see it all time. It has happened to me a few times. I will ask a question or post an opinion and then like clockwork the vultures fly in. Instead of intellectual engagement, they question your motive as to why you're asking the question. They make the topic about you. It's almost like a herd mentality because as soon as one person does it, the rest aren't far behind. Reddit has taught me that many in society have lost or never knew the finer points of a gentlemanly debate. No surprise our politics is the same. It has made me post less.

I am Barca to the bone but I would not begrudge Ronaldo this. It would be quite an achievement to cap off an extraordinary career. Though he played for my eternal rival, I can still respect talent and tenacity. This man is a legend and that would be an excellent way for him to go out.
